    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries for Regal Care is strongly positive with recurring praise for the facility's atmosphere, staff, dining, safety, and hands-on ownership. Many reviewers emphasize a warm, home-like environment that feels inviting and family-oriented. The facility is frequently described as newly renovated, open, light-filled, and handicap accessible, with spacious layouts and peaceful outdoor spaces including a beautiful garden and outdoor seating. Cleanliness and immaculate upkeep are repeatedly mentioned, reinforcing an image of a well-maintained setting.

Care quality and staffing emerge as the most consistent strengths. Reviewers report attentive, compassionate, and professional caregivers who provide one-on-one, personalized attention. There are multiple mentions of highly trained staff, patient and empathetic approach, and caregivers who go above and beyond. Families describe peace of mind stemming from 24/7 staff presence, night monitoring, safety sensors, and hospice-capable care with good hospice rapport. Several accounts note successful recovery from injury or improvement in memory-related conditions with dignity and warmth, indicating capabilities for both short-term rehabilitation and longer-term memory support.

Dining and lifestyle offerings are highlighted as distinctive positives. Multiple reviewers praise the food quality—fresh, healthy, and delicious meals often prepared from organic garden ingredients. Homemade touches such as ice cream and cookies, and the owners' hands-on involvement in preparing fresh meals, are singled out as differentiators that contribute to a homelike experience. The facility also provides spaces to gather and socialize (including a piano and communal areas), which reviewers find welcoming and conducive to residents' well-being.

Management, services, and perceived value are nuanced. Many reviewers commend hands-on owners, attention to detail, extra services, and an all-inclusive approach that stands out compared with competitors. This contributes to a sense of high value for a higher cost—reviewers frequently note that the facility may be pricier but offers superior living quarters and service. Reliability, security, and peace of mind for families are commonly reported outcomes of Regal Care's operational model.

However, there is a notable minority of negative feedback that should not be overlooked. Some reviewers report poor management, lack of activities (including no outside walks), fee disputes, and even regulatory violations on file. These criticisms are fewer in number compared to the positive comments but are significant because they touch on governance, compliance, and resident engagement—areas that materially affect resident experience and family trust. The presence of billing concerns and at least one strongly negative overall impression suggests variability in experiences that prospective families should investigate.

In summary, the dominant pattern paints Regal Care as a warm, clean, and well-appointed small facility with strong, compassionate caregiving, excellent dining from onsite organic sources, and robust safety and hospice capabilities. The hands-on owners and attentive staff create a family-like atmosphere that many families highly recommend. That said, potential residents and families should perform due diligence: verify current regulatory status and any past violations, ask for clarification on activities and outdoor time schedules, review the fee structure and dispute resolution policies, and arrange visits to meet staff and sample meals. These steps will help confirm whether the generally excellent care and amenities described by most reviewers align with a prospective resident's specific needs and expectations.

    About Regal Care

Regal Care is a small residential care home in Simi Valley, California, about 4.6 miles outside the city, and people know it for its helpful and kind staff, getting a strong average rating of 9.2 out of 10 and being the 3rd highest rated community in the area, and what's different here is the setup-only six residents live at a time, which means two highly trained caregivers can support everyone well, with around-the-clock awake staff always present. The facility offers both assisted living and memory care services for seniors needing help with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, keeping track of medicine, and for those with dementia or Alzheimer's, so families looking for personalized, one-on-one care will find Regal Care's approach focused on dignity and independence. There's a choice of studio layouts, two master bedrooms with private baths, two private bedrooms, and a shared room for two individuals or a family, so people can pick what's comfortable, and the staff encourages everyone to decorate and bring favorite belongings from home to make their suites feel familiar. Residents share home-cooked meals in a dining room and the staff prepares nutritious, organic foods overseen by skilled chefs and meal planners, making eating together a daily routine, and meals are something of a highlight since they focus on what residents like and need.

For activities, there's a scheduled program of social, educational, and entertaining options, both onsite and offsite, so no matter a person's interests or abilities, there's always something to do, plus a bright activity room and access to a 1904 Grand upright piano. Outdoors, there's a peaceful garden, a vegetable patch that's active and maintained, and a bench swing, giving residents space to sit or enjoy the weather, while inside there are spacious common areas for relaxing or having visitors. The community supports devotional services both on and offsite for those who want them. Regal Care allows for independent living when possible, but offers help when it's needed and keeps personalized care plans for every resident, with a focus on recovery support, memory care, and supporting independence as much as possible. If someone needs more help, like with memory or mobility, staff can adapt and provide supervision and care to match changing needs, and this includes digital systems for tracking medicines and clear care plans, as well as a wellness clinic onsite. Residents find features like a barrier-free shower making bathing safer, and high-speed internet helps people stay connected, with transportation and parking available when needed.

People here enjoy a clean, organized environment, with common spaces for socializing and private rooms for rest, while staff maintain good partnerships with hospice caregivers if residents need support toward the end of life. Meals are cooked daily, the garden gets attention, and the routine is steady, all in a setting that values steady attention and tries to prevent confusion or wandering for those who need memory support. Regal Care and its associated names, Regal Residence and The Orchard, refer to their homes and facilities, all sharing the same focus on careful, personal attention and home settings, and the state license number is 565802408 for reference. The small scale, personal approach, trained staff, and flexible room options set this place apart, especially for families wanting a more home-like environment with individualized care for their loved ones.
