    Excellent caregivers, poor management, unsafe

I've lived here and it's a mixed experience. The building is bright and clean with beautiful views, balconies, good rehab/nursing, exercise classes, outings, and healthy menus - some staff are genuinely helpful. But management and the front desk are often rude or neglectful, maintenance and communication are unreliable, COVID/visitor rules were inconsistent (no masks provided), mold and roach problems went unaddressed, and I've seen falls near the entrance. Rent and fees are high and eviction/income concerns felt real. Overall - excellent caregivers in places, but poor management and safety issues make me hesitant to recommend it.

    About Madison Tower

Madison Tower serves people aged 55 and older looking for independent living right in Stockton, and it offers a mix of studio and one-bedroom apartments, with sizes that range from 350 up to 744 square feet, so seniors can pick a space that fits their own needs, and those recently updated floor plans give folks options if they want something a bit newer or larger, plus every apartment comes with on-site maintenance and management, which means no worries about repairs or upkeep. The community allows both dogs and cats, making it easy for pet owners to feel at home, and the management keeps things friendly and accessible, as staff are trained and ready to help with daily needs or questions that come up. People living here often join in on community programs, a busy calendar of social, educational, and recreational events, and those activities do a good job helping folks build friendships and keep busy, whether that's spending time in the on-site beauty shop or heading out to one of the nearby eateries that make dining simple for different tastes and diets. Madison Tower is a smoke-free building and offers flexible payment choices through Flex, which helps some residents manage their budgets better. The buildings and grounds are managed by Pacifica SD Management, following Pacifica Residential's standards. The front desk operates from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday, but there's no service on weekends, so people should plan accordingly for tours or new resident questions, though there's a resident portal online for communication and reservation needs. There's no need to worry about climbing stairs or lugging things around because everything is set up for easy, low-hassle living, and the location means the Children's Museum of Stockton, University Park, and Stockton City Centre are all close by. Folks can schedule tours to see the apartments and amenities in person, and the community's main goal is to help everyone stay independent while giving them plenty of chances to socialize and join in active events, all while the staff supports their individual preferences and choices for daily life.
