    Attentive family-run assisted living facility

I'm very pleased with this small, family-run assisted living-my loved one is cared for in a spotless, home-like, spacious room with home-cooked, adaptive meals. The RN owner and friendly, knowledgeable staff are attentive, communicate regularly (even via personal cell), handle medications, in-house lab/pharmacy and specialized equipment, and go above and beyond; activities like music/karaoke keep things lively. Quiet neighborhood, ample parking, excellent value - I highly recommend it (one minor concern: occasional resident idleness/reported negative staff behavior).

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with recurring praise for the staff, cleanliness, and home-like atmosphere of Senior Jordeth Care Home. Multiple reviewers highlight that the owner is an RN and that clinical oversight is present, which contributes to confidence in medication management and care practices. The facility is repeatedly described as safe, comfortable, and small/homey — a setting that many families felt placed their loved ones 'at peace' and 'lovingly cared for.' Cleanliness and the absence of odors are mentioned several times, reinforcing the impression of a well-maintained environment.

Care quality and clinical support are prominent strengths. Reviewers specifically note medication management support, pharmacy delivery and medication pickup, and in-house lab work as conveniences that reduce logistical burden for families. The presence of specialized equipment (for example, a Hoyer lift and a waterproof shower chair) and the availability of memory care and skilled nursing services indicate the facility can handle a range of care needs. Families also appreciate practical supports such as staff assistance with hospital visits and regular updates to family members, as well as direct accessibility to staff (including sharing personal cell numbers), which reviewers view as excellent communication and responsiveness.

Dining and room amenities receive favorable mention. Multiple reviewers describe meals as home-cooked and adaptable to resident preferences or dietary needs, and some note that meals were cooked specifically to a resident's liking. Rooms are described as spacious and comfortable with in-room TVs, contributing to the 'actual home feel' many reviewers emphasize. The physical setting is also appreciated — a quiet, lovely neighborhood and ample parking are helpful for visiting family and suggest a convenient location close to home for some reviewers.

Social programming and daily life are mixed but generally positive. Several reviewers point out regular entertainment such as music and karaoke, and staff enthusiasm and compassionate attitudes are repeatedly praised. The small, family-run atmosphere is seen as fostering independence for residents who can maintain it. However, there are notes of concern about engagement for some residents: at least one reviewer observed residents idle in front of the TV for hours, and one review expressed overall disapproval of the facility for their mother. These comments suggest that while many residents experience active programming and compassionate attention, activity levels or individualized engagement may vary by resident or shift.

Management and culture appear to be strengths: the owner is described as passionate about elderly care, and multiple accounts describe staff going 'above and beyond,' handling difficult moments thoughtfully (including post-death handling of belongings), and being respectful. The facility is repeatedly described as affordable and offering good value, with availability of openings noted by reviewers — factors that matter to families looking for practical placement options.

Notable patterns and recommendations: the dominant themes are compassionate, clinically informed care delivered in a clean, home-like setting with strong communication to families. The primary concerns are isolated and relate to staff behavior and inconsistent engagement for some residents. Because the negative feedback is limited but specific, prospective families should tour the facility, observe activity spaces and programming, ask about staff-to-resident ratios and how individualized engagement is maintained across shifts, and inquire about protocols for behavioral issues or staff training. Overall, the reviews portray Senior Jordeth Care Home as a well-regarded, family-run small facility with solid clinical oversight, attentive staff, and a warm, home-style environment, while advising due diligence on engagement and consistency before placement.
