    Gorgeous facility with excellent care

I toured and chose this community for my mom and I'm very pleased. The building is gorgeous and immaculate, staff are warm, responsive and highly skilled (24/7 nursing and caregivers), residents are happy and engaged, activities are plentiful, and the rotating seasonal menu is outstanding - I feel confident she'll be well cared for and plan to stay.

    Summary of reviews

Carillon at Belleview Station is consistently described as a modern, well-kept community with hotel-like finishes, spacious apartments (many with in-unit kitchens and laundry), attractive views, and a convenient location near the Denver Tech Center. Reviewers emphasize a warm, social atmosphere and a variety of communal spaces and events that contribute to residents’ sense of welcome and engagement.

Care and staffing elicit strong praise alongside notable variability. Many families and residents highlight compassionate, attentive caregivers, robust memory-care programming, and round-the-clock nursing availability. Life-enrichment staff and activity leaders receive frequent positive mention for keeping residents engaged. At the same time, a recurring theme is staff turnover and the resulting inconsistency in continuity of care; some families describe variable responsiveness between shifts. There are also specific concerns raised about medication-management controls and about staff conduct and privacy practices that prospective families should review directly with leadership.

Dining and programming are among the facility’s strengths. Numerous reviewers praise a rotating, seasonally updated menu and high-quality culinary offerings, plus a broad calendar of activities—fitness classes, lectures, live entertainment, outings, holiday events, and frequent social gatherings. Some commentary indicates the dining experience and menu variety have fluctuated over time or that menu repetition occurs; prospective residents may want to sample meals and ask about current culinary staffing and menu-planning processes.

Facilities and operations are generally favorably described: clean common areas, attractive decoration, well-laid-out apartments, and accessible maintenance support. However, there are contrasting reports about housekeeping and maintenance follow-through, and a few reviewers raised concerns about exterior security and parking-area oversight. Pricing and fee transparency also appear to be a pain point for some families; questions about entrance fees and ongoing costs are worth clarifying during a tour.

Management and administration draw mixed but actionable feedback. Many reviewers complimented staff who assisted with move-in and transitions and named individual staff members for exemplary support; others felt services occasionally under-delivered or that communication from management was uneven. Recommended due diligence for prospective residents: conduct an in-person tour, meet nursing and life-enrichment staff, sample meals, review medication-administration protocols, ask about staff turnover and use of trainees, confirm security measures, and obtain full written fee disclosure. Overall, the community presents as a high-quality, activity-rich option with strong caregiving in many respects, balanced by operational areas that warrant direct inquiry prior to commitment.

    About Carillon at Belleview Station

Carillon at Belleview Station sits in southwest Denver, right by Belleview Station with easy light rail and bus access, and it's managed by Ascent Living Communities. This six-story community built in August 2019 has 163 total units, including 139 independent and assisted living apartments plus 24 memory care suites, so it can handle different care needs as people age. Studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments are available-some even have full kitchens, balconies, and private options, and for seniors with pets, cats and small dogs are allowed in independent and assisted living with management approval and a monthly fee.

The building uses concrete construction with a walk-out basement, covering about 173,000 square feet, and offers covered parking and valet service. Residents get access to different services such as meal plans, vegetarian options, a laundry service (or self-serve laundry), housekeeping, activities, and scheduled transportation for outings and appointments. The Carillon Bistro and wine bar, restaurant, private dining room, and a bistro give people a choice in dining, while the gym, beauty salon, spa, sixth-floor sky lounge with outdoor terrace and full bar, theatre, reading room, and game lounge offer places to relax or socialize. Social activities include exercise classes, happy hours, lectures, language learning, music, art, and brain training programs to keep minds sharp and spirits up.

The community offers independent living for active seniors wanting a maintenance-free life, a supportive assisted living environment for those who need help with bathing, dressing, and chores, and a secured memory care unit for people living with Alzheimer's or other types of dementia. The Assisted Living section has 24-hour nursing oversight. The Memory Care program, called Touchpoints, focuses on personalized care, a safe environment, and daily activities designed to help residents stay engaged and feel comfortable; there's a high staff-to-resident ratio, and staff work to know each resident well enough to tailor activities and routines. For safety, emergency call systems, neck pendants, wristbands, bathroom pull cords, and motion sensors are all built in.

Other features include specialized therapy with visiting physical, speech, and occupational therapists, as well as doctors, dentists, and podiatrists who come to the building. The interfaith chapel supports Jewish and non-denominational services, while worship off-site is supported too. The community is non-smoking and supports residents' privacy and independence but also encourages friendships and social interaction. Memory care environments are designed to reduce confusion and wandering, and all common areas-inside and outdoors-are open for all residents to enjoy.

Carillon has flexible options with month-to-month leases, 30-day termination notice, and doesn't accept Medicaid. Residents must be at least 55 to live here. While it isn't perfect, Carillon at Belleview Station does offer a variety of services and amenities to help seniors live as safely and comfortably as possible while adjusting as care needs change.
