    Supportive, clean dementia care facility

I toured and moved my father into this small, clean facility; the on-site manager and caregivers are kind, attentive, and communicative, and he's comfortable and well-groomed. Meals are good (family can bring favorites), activities are engaging, the patio/deck is lovely, and staff are welcoming - I'm pleased so far and would recommend it for someone needing higher-level dementia care.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment in the reviews is positive, with consistent praise for the quality of care and the attentiveness of staff at Assured Serenity Assisted Living 27. Multiple reviewers highlight that caregivers are attentive, kind, and accommodating; the facility is described as clean, neat, warm, and secure; and residents are kept well-groomed and presentable. Several comments singled out a helpful on-site manager and personable staff interactions (one reviewer specifically mentioned a staff member, Mike, greeting visitors), which contributes to an overall welcoming, home-like impression. Many families reported being pleased so far and said they would recommend the facility.

Care quality and staffing emerge as strong themes. Reviewers emphasize that the staff tries hard, is reassuring, and communicates well with families about resident status. The facility appears well-staffed relative to its size, which reviewers associate with attentive, high-quality care and a safe environment. These qualities are mentioned alongside statements that the facility can provide a higher level of care and is suitable for residents with advanced dementia or greater care needs. Several reviews framed the home as an advocate or oversight resource for relatives, reinforcing the perception of good staff-family communication and involvement.

Facility and amenities comments are also consistently favorable. The building is described as clean and well-maintained, with pleasant outdoor areas such as a patio and deck. Dining is generally praised — reviewers noted good food — although there are mentions that families sometimes bring favorite meals, which could indicate limited menu personalization for some residents. Activity programming includes singalongs, drawing, and at least one joint event (a luau with another care home), and residents are observed participating in games and activities during tours. These offerings contribute to the homey atmosphere and positive first impressions reported by visitors.

However, a notable and repeated concern is fit and stimulation. Several reviewers cautioned that because the facility is small and geared toward higher-level needs, it may not provide enough activities or stimulation for more independent or active residents. Multiple comments recommend careful evaluation before moving a loved one in and frame the facility as a "best-fit" placement rather than a universally ideal choice. A few reviewers explicitly said it was not what they were looking for or not their first choice, even while acknowledging staff friendliness and competence.

Other practical considerations appear in the reviews. The facility’s small size is a double-edged sword: it supports attentive, individualized care for residents with advanced needs but may limit variety in programming and services for more autonomous residents. Cost was mentioned (about $4,200/month), which may be reasonable to some families but could be a factor to weigh during placement decisions. Several reviewers recommended the home with the caveat that families should maintain oversight and confirm it matches the prospective resident’s needs.

In summary, Assured Serenity Assisted Living 27 is consistently described as a clean, safe, and caring small home with attentive staff, good communication with families, and activities appropriate for many residents. It appears to excel at providing supportive, higher-level care — particularly for those with advanced dementia — but may be less suitable for residents who require robust stimulation or a wider variety of activities. Prospective families are advised to evaluate fit carefully, consider the facility’s scale and programming, and weigh the monthly cost against the level of care provided. Many reviewers recommend the facility for the right resident profile, noting positive early experiences and ongoing satisfaction when the match is appropriate.
