    Vast improvement accommodating family-like staff

I moved my mother with Alzheimer's into their memory care and it's a vast improvement over her previous facility. The full-time, accommodating staff are excellent and provide family-like, homey care - I'm very satisfied overall and would recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

The available reviews present a mixed but instructive picture of Ashley Manor Memory Care. Positive comments emphasize a caregiving team that many families found compassionate, accommodating, and oriented toward a home-like, family atmosphere. The community is described as providing specialized full-time memory-care services for residents with Alzheimer's, and at least one reviewer contrasted the setting favorably with a prior facility, describing a clear improvement in day-to-day caregiving.

Care quality appears to be strength-focused around hands-on memory-care provision: reviewers credited staff with attentive, family-style interactions and responsiveness to resident needs. However, there are also accounts that suggest variability in how consistently that standard is applied. One review referenced unprofessional behavior by staff and a resulting resident removal; while this is an individual outcome, it signals potential operational weaknesses around consistency of staff conduct and how resident-placement decisions are managed.

Staff are generally described in positive terms—helpful, accommodating, and creating a homey atmosphere. At the same time, the presence of criticisms about professionalism points to uneven performance and the need for stronger oversight or training in some areas. Management and administrative processes are another locus of concern: reviewers cited management shortcomings, which connect to reported communication gaps and to the perception that placement or transition decisions can be abrupt.

There is limited specific information in the reviews about dining and activities. The "home-like" descriptors imply comfortable common areas and an environment intended to feel familiar, but reviewers did not provide detailed accounts of menu quality, meal service consistency, or the breadth of programmed activities. Prospective families should confirm current dining menus, meal-service practices, and the schedule and variety of memory-appropriate activities during a visit.

Facility-level observations focus on atmosphere and personnel rather than physical plant details. The community is portrayed as warm and family-oriented, which may suit residents seeking a smaller, homelike memory-care setting. Notable patterns across the reviews are a clear appreciation for many frontline caregivers coupled with concerns about management, consistency of staff professionalism, and communication with families. These mixed signals suggest that prospective residents and families should verify staffing levels, staff-training practices, incident-response procedures, and the facility’s policies for family communication and resident transitions when making a placement decision.

    About Ashley Manor Memory Care

Ashley Manor Memory Care, also listed as Ashley Manor - Fort Lupton 1, has served seniors for over 20 years by focusing mainly on care for those with Alzheimer's and other memory issues, but you'll find they offer many levels of care, letting residents stay in one place as their needs change. Their buildings are small and homey, most holding up to 16 residents, except for a larger one in Boise licensed for about 70 folks, so you'll see lots of familiar faces. They have private or semi-private rooms, some are studios or one-bedrooms, and these come furnished with telephones, emergency alert systems, and all the basics you might want. Meals come scheduled in a central dining room, with snacks available, and they handle special diets, whether allergies or diabetes are part of the picture, making sure everyone has proper nutrition.

Staff here are awake and on duty 24 hours a day, trained specifically for memory care, and there are always two or more people around if you need help moving from bed to wheelchair, especially if you're not able to walk by yourself, and they stand by to assist with all the personal care basics like bathing, dressing, and managing medications, although for insulin injections you'd need a nurse. Residents get help with activities of daily living and transfers, and they also attend to things like incontinence, but you need to be able to manage incontinence yourself. Housekeeping, laundry, and linen-changing are provided, and there's medication and oxygen assistance, as well as both hospice and home health available if required. The facility allows cats and dogs, making it possible to keep beloved pets, and includes communal indoor spaces for socializing, watching movies, or joining activities. The grounds are clean, well-kept, with secure and circular walkways and gardens that help residents stay oriented and enjoy the outdoors safely.

Ashley Manor provides structured daily activities for seniors with dementia or memory loss, and tries to keep everyone active, mentally stimulated, and engaged with activities, though the exact types vary. Staff offer emotional support for both residents and their families, including support groups and informational resources, and they have a newsletter with tips for families picking memory care. There's a community fee, and care fees are all-inclusive but vary by care level; the entry fee is $1,500, and meals are included. Many residents are over 55, and everything is wheelchair accessible. They help with diabetes monitoring but require families to provide a nurse for insulin shots. When residents attend off-site devotional services, or come back for the day after respite, the staff are prepared with transport or daily care as needed. Staff get ongoing training to keep up with new care techniques, always aiming for a safe, respectful, and home-like environment for everyone under state license number 23F488.
