    Beautiful grounds, safe, attentive staff

I placed my father in this converted farm community and I'm very pleased. The grounds are beautiful and tranquil, the facility is clean, well-maintained and feels safe, and the food is excellent. Staff encourage family involvement and are attentive - overall a very positive experience in a lovely area.

    Summary of reviews

Fieldstone Village is consistently described as a clean, safe, and tranquil community with an attractive, well‑maintained campus. Several comments emphasize the scenic setting—noting the property’s former‑farm character and quiet neighborhood—which appears to be an important draw for residents and families seeking a peaceful living environment. Cleanliness and general maintenance are recurring positives.

Dining and family engagement are clear strengths. Reviewers praise the food quality, and family involvement is repeatedly mentioned as a positive aspect of the community atmosphere. Those themes suggest management has placed emphasis on meal service standards and fostering family participation in residents’ lives.

On care and staff, impressions are generally favorable: the overall tone of the feedback is positive, and the combination of safety, cleanliness, and family engagement implies acceptable day‑to‑day care and staff responsiveness. There are no detailed allegations about clinical practice in these summaries; however, the absence of detailed commentary about clinical programs or nursing-level services means prospective families should request specifics about medical oversight, staffing ratios, and care plans during a tour.

The primary pattern of concern is environmental and programming-related rather than clinical. Multiple notes describe the community as dull, bland, or “cookie‑cutter,” and observers mention empty lawns and a lack of personality. These comments indicate a facility‑level opportunity to strengthen social programming, increase visible resident engagement, and activate outdoor spaces to make the campus feel more lively and individualized.

For prospective residents and families: Fieldstone Village appears well suited to people who prioritize cleanliness, quiet, scenic surroundings, and good dining with family involvement. Those seeking a highly social, highly active, or highly personalized aesthetic may want to investigate activity calendars, opportunities for resident personalization, and how outdoor common areas are programmed before deciding. Asking management about scheduled activities, resident councils, and event participation rates will help determine whether the community’s day‑to‑day social life matches a prospective resident’s expectations.

    About Fieldstone Village

Fieldstone Village sits at 1025 Grassy Hill Rd in Orange, CT, and stays open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm every day, where you'll find a quiet senior living community made for folks 55 and older, and while some say the buildings are "cookie-cutter" in style, they're kept clean, safe, and tidy, with well-tended walkways and organized layouts, and there are choices from one-bedroom apartments, easy-to-navigate studio units, even some shared quarters, all coming with useful spots like many closets, garages, and non-slip floors to make daily life easier and more comfortable. Residents can use a bunch of amenities such as a heated pool, tennis courts, a clubhouse, and a courtyard for those who like staying active, plus an arts and crafts studio, group activities ranging from bingo and cards to technology classes, and a nice garden for folks who like tending to plants, and there's also a movie theater and all-day snacks for added comfort. If you need help, there are on-site registered nurses, ambulation services, incontinence care, help with getting in and out of bed, spoon-feeding, and regular health checkups, with panic buttons and a 24-hour security system set up for everyone's safety, and fall prevention measures give extra peace of mind.

Fieldstone Village handles different levels of care, providing both independent and assisted living units, so if you're living on your own and just looking for home upkeep, landscaping, or maintenance, those are included too, and laundry and linen services plus full housekeeping take chores off the list for residents, with all utilities paid. For anyone with more care needs, there's assisted living with medication assistance, health checks, and help managing daily activities like bathing or eating, and if you have Alzheimer's or Parkinson's, Fieldstone Village has memory care services with staff that's specially trained for these cases, along with programs meant to help memory and support well-being. Seniors needing short-term help can use respite care services, which lets primary caregivers take some time off while professionals look after their loved one, and the place welcomes families and visitors, running family support and counseling programs if needed.

Getting around's easier with transport services that'll bring you to appointments or outings, and there's a concierge service to answer questions or help with errands, plus a private dining room for meals, a pureed menu for special dietary needs, and always some snacks at hand. Fieldstone Village also gives tech support like computer classes, routine physician checkups, physical and occupational rehabilitation, and even skilled nursing when round-the-clock medical help's needed, covering things like wound care and full nursing support. Besides caring support, you'll find special touches like massage therapy, group educational activities, community gathering rooms, and free transportation. Moving aid is available if changing rooms or moving in's a worry, and the lawns and gardens stay trimmed thanks to regular landscaping.

The community offers extra business services for residents and outside vendors, including an online payment portal for EIPP and B2B payments, job info sheet optimization, lien and notice management tools, electronic notary, and waiver management, all set up for compliance and good record-keeping. There's a waiver exchange portal for anyone who needs it, plus family members and vendors can use a supplier function and see real-time reports on jobs or payments. While some notice the design of homes leans toward the standard side, it's always quiet and safe-the staff and other residents have a reputation for being friendly, and the grounds are peaceful, making Fieldstone Village a steady, practical choice for those wanting a well-kept place to live out retirement with reliable services and simple comfort.
