Retreat At Osprey Village sits in Yulee, Florida, and gives people 55 and older a place that often feels like an extra family, with staff and residents getting to know each other well over time, so when visitors walk in, there's a good sense they'll be met by welcoming people and clean rooms, with the nurses and CNAs making sure folks take their medicine on time and have what they need throughout the day. The community offers different kinds of living, like independent living in villa apartments or bigger cottages with up to three bedrooms, assisted living for those who want a bit more help but don't want to give up their independence, dedicated memory care in a secured area called Reflections at the Retreat, and short-term or respite care for those needing some recovery. Meals come from an Executive Chef with lots of choices, and there's a dining room and clubhouse where people gather, and two restaurants at the nearby Amelia Island Club if folks want to head out for a bit. The activity staff organizes daily programs, including outings to restaurants, museums, and musicals, and hosts special events like Brazilian Carnival Night or Hawaiian Luaus, along with quieter things like ukulele sing-alongs, movie nights, or wellness classes in the gym, and there's a library for reading. Residents who play tennis have access to 23 clay courts at the Amelia Island Club, and golf fans can use the Signature Long Point course, with pools both indoors and outdoors for swimming. Memory care has Certified Dementia Practitioners, and the staff runs programs to help with memory, cognition, and daily routines, along with a secure outdoor area for safe time outside. Nurses and aides remain on hand all day and night in assisted living and memory care, with each unit set up with emergency call systems. There's a hair salon, personal transportation, housekeeping, and laundry included, and the homes themselves stay neat with regular upkeep. The wellness program gets national recognition, with awards for new ways to help residents stay active and healthy, and the staff knows how to handle everything from help with daily needs, to physical, occupational, and speech therapy for folks recovering from surgery or living with conditions like stroke or dementia. Many residents mention the food is good, the activities keep them busy, the surroundings look nice, and staff does a solid job making everyone feel welcome and cared for, so all in all, Retreat At Osprey Village offers a calm, active, and supportive place to live for older adults, whether they need just a little help or more care, while keeping the focus on community, wellness, and a simple, maintenance-free lifestyle.

Caring staff, attractive grounds, dining
I moved my mother here and I'm grateful - the staff are genuinely caring and attentive, residents are friendly and neighborly, and there are endless engaging activities (book club, art, water aerobics, trips) that keep everyone active. The housing and grounds are attractive, well-maintained, a short walk to the ocean, and medical care is very good; housekeeping and maintenance are worry-free. Staff were creative and kept everyone safe and connected during COVID, and my mom truly feels special and at home. My one major caveat: dining can be poor tasting and expensive, the monthly meal fee is non-refundable, and management/chefs don't seem to heed residents' feedback.
