    Compassionate clean family-like care community

I chose this community for my dad and I'm very pleased - the staff (Amanda and Cindy stood out) are compassionate and competent, the owners and administrator are on-site and always available, and residents are truly treated like family. The building is safe, secure, bright, spacious and spotless, with excellent visitation spaces, nutritious meals my dad loved, and engaging activities and outings. Overall a caring, well-maintained, easily accessible place I'd highly recommend.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews describe a facility with clear strengths alongside notable variability in day-to-day operations. Families consistently praise the caregiving culture: many accounts highlight compassionate, competent staff, accessible management (including an on-site owner and an available administrator), and admissions personnel who provide helpful information. Common areas such as a homey foyer and family visitation spaces are described as well maintained, and private and shared rooms are frequently characterized as bright and clean. Memory-care areas are noted for security features and safety-focused design.

Care quality and staffing emerge as mixed but critical themes. Numerous families describe attentive, nurturing caregivers and a sense that residents are treated like family; however, other comments point to inconsistent staff performance, limited responsiveness at times, and uneven nursing practices. These patterns suggest variability by shift or by individual staff member rather than a uniformly applied standard of care. Reviewers also highlighted concerns about personal-care scheduling, specifically bathing and assistance routines, which appear unreliable in some instances.

Dining and nutrition receive divergent assessments. Several reviewers praise nutritious, well-planned meals and reference dietitian or chef involvement and menu updates. Conversely, other accounts describe marginal or poor evening meals and lack of consistent culinary oversight. This indicates inconsistent meal quality and possibly uneven staffing or oversight across meal periods. Families should ask about current dining supervision, dietitian involvement, and sample menus during a visit.

Activity programming has improved in some reports, with creative, resident-aware offerings and active outings; other comments note limited activities or variability in availability. The presence of dedicated activity directors has been linked to better programming, suggesting that activity quality depends on staffing and leadership. Memory-care residents benefit from secure programming, but limited physical space and small dining areas can constrain group activities and progression to higher-acuity needs.

Facility condition is a mixed picture. Positive impressions of cleanliness and pleasant odor control coexist with sanitation concerns in some bathrooms and comments about an older, somewhat rundown appearance in parts of the building. Several reviews point to small rooms, shared bathrooms, and cramped dining spaces that would benefit from remodeling. There are also isolated but important maintenance issues noted, such as bed and furniture safety problems, indicating a need for more consistent maintenance protocols.

Management and transparency show strengths and weaknesses. The on-site owner and engaged administrator are repeatedly mentioned positively for accessibility and responsiveness. At the same time, there are concerns about fee transparency, expectations that families supply personal items, and requests for additional payments without visible improvements. These perceptions, along with variable service continuity—especially in the evenings—suggest families should request clear written policies on fees, included items, and staffing patterns.

Notable patterns across the reviews are variability and inconsistency: many positive attributes exist, but they do not appear uniformly across shifts, units, or time. Prospective residents and families would benefit from a focused tour that checks evening staffing, reviews current maintenance logs, inspects bathroom cleanliness, assesses activity schedules, and clarifies meal oversight and fee policies. For individuals with higher-acuity dementia needs, confirm available dedicated space and clinical capability before placement.

About Prestige Manor Assisted Living Facility Belleview

Prestige Manor Assisted Living Facility Belleview sits on six acres in Belleview, Florida, and people say it feels like Ocala's best kept secret because the focus here is really on compassionate care, offering 35 rooms for seniors who want a secure and comfortable place to live, with fenced grounds, walking paths, a gazebo, and gardens that encourage residents to get some fresh air and enjoy nature whenever they want, and inside, the rooms come with WiFi, cable in common areas, spacious bathrooms, and options for ground floor and wheelchair accessible showers, all designed to keep people comfortable no matter their health needs, and the building itself is all on one level to help those with mobility aids move about more easily, and of course, the staff led by Carrol Dillion-Smith, who's been part of the community for 35 years, works under Kindcare Management, a small family-owned company that keeps a close eye on the service, making sure seniors get meals, cleaning, and laundry done for them every day so nobody worries about housework or chores.

The facility holds a state of Florida license (number 10889), offers assisted living, independent living, respite care, and memory care for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's, and can also give extra support for residents who need medication managed, diabetic or incontinence care, and non-ambulatory services for folks using wheelchairs or needing help with everyday things like bathing or getting dressed-there's a 24-hour supervision system and a call system in place so someone can always get help if needed, plus the whole place is gated with safety procedures, including COVID-19 protocols, to keep everyone as secure as possible.

Residents have access to three fresh, home-cooked meals each day with all-day dining options in a restaurant-style setting, as well as guest meals, special dining programs, and meals prepared for various diets like vegetarian, vegan, kosher, gluten-free, diabetic, or allergy-sensitive needs, and there's also room service, a private dining area, and snacks available so nobody feels left out if their appetite or diet changes from day to day. The laundry service includes both washing and folding, and folks can even get dry cleaning done if that's what they need.

People find the common spaces comfortable, with a social dining area, TV rooms, arts and crafts area, a barber and beauty salon, and organized events-things like movie nights, arts activities, board games, wellness programs with tai chi, yoga, or simple stretching, devotional services, musical performances, and community or resident-run gatherings all take place on a full calendar run by the activity director, so there's always a chance to see others or stay busy, though folks can spend time quietly in the gardens or take part in horticulture activities too, if that's what suits them.

Transportation is provided for trips to local medical appointments or community events, and parking is available for visitors, with 24/7 visiting hours so family and friends can stop by any time, and the facility accepts Medicaid and most insurance, as well as checks for payment, and families know up front about the entry fee and all-inclusive rent structure so there aren't many surprises. Prestige Manor also gives families a break with respite care when they need help caring for a loved one for a short time, and the staff aim to create a safe, happy, and caring place for everyone living there, making sure seniors feel they belong, with enough support to help them be as independent and comfortable as possible, and while the average review is 3.9 out of 8 ratings, many people mention feeling welcome and cared for, with staff paying attention to both emotional and physical well-being.
