    Roomy suites, good social life

I appreciated the attractive, roomy suites, clean common areas, tasty meals and lively activities - many staff were genuinely kind and helpful. But staffing and management felt inconsistent: high turnover, slow or missed meds and call responses, occasional poor attitudes and spotty housekeeping/maintenance (some reports of pests). Good fit for more independent residents who want value and social life; I would hesitate for higher medical or memory-care needs.

    About Summerfield Senior Living

Summerfield Senior Living uses its own special logos and branding, and people can find a wide range of living options here, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and nursing home services, all within one community that acts as a continuing care retirement community, or CCRC, so if someone needs more help as time goes on, they can stay in a familiar place. The community offers private apartments in studio and one-bedroom floor plans, and you can pick from units with kitchenettes, private bathrooms, walk-in closets, and some have balconies or patios, while cable TV, Wi-Fi, electricity, water, and trash service are already included. Residents get three meals every day with snacks and a hydration program, and housekeeping, linen, and personal laundry services are available too. There are amenities like a fitness center, a full-service salon and beauty shop, a modern library, a residents' lounge, and even an on-site laundry, along with an outdoor patio, landscaped grounds with ponds and nature walks, serene gazebos, and a piano in the common areas to bring people together. The place is pet-friendly, and units are unfurnished, but you can ask for furnished ones if you want. There's covered parking, transportation for medical appointments within 15 miles, and a hotel-style dining room where everyone gets together for meals. The community supports people through all sorts of challenges, offering specialized services like memory care for dementia or Alzheimer's, skilled nursing, respite care, rehabilitation therapy (including physical, occupational, speech, language, and respiratory therapies), hospice, intravenous therapy, dietary support, psychiatric help, and medical care when needed. Assisted living services offer help with daily activities-like bathing, dressing, and medication management-while still focusing on giving people as much independence as possible. Everywhere has an emergency call system, and staff are there around the clock for safety. There are many ways to stay active such as cultural and educational programs, wellness activities, group outings, and recreation options every day. There are also support groups for residents and their families. Community spaces are clean and welcoming, and special memory care areas provide safe and pleasant spaces for folks with memory problems. The community aims to help everyone feel connected, valued, and active, with a focus on affordable comfort and a dedicated staff who treat all residents with care and respect.
