    About Generation on the beach

Generations on the Beach has six licensed beds and provides assisted living, independent living, and memory care in a home-like setting where staff offer help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, cooking, laundry, using the bathroom, and managing medicine, and residents have access to round-the-clock supervision and care, including for people with Alzheimer's, dementia, or Parkinson's. The place supports independent senior adults, so the rooms are designed kind of like apartments or condos, and folks get a choice of private or semiprivate rooms with features like Wi-Fi, cable TV, wheelchair-accessible showers, full tubs, and all the basic comforts, and the staff handle things like housekeeping, laundry, and even room service if someone needs it. Meals come one or two times a day and can be made for special diets like low sodium, organic, low sugar, vegetarian, or kosher, and there's all-day dining as well as housekept meal services, with nurses on call for extra care needs or case management, plus hospice and respite stays available too. There are fun social and recreational activities, day trips, educational events, music classes, devotional services both on and off site, and communal areas both inside and outside with fireplaces, movie rooms, a library, swimming pool, hot tub, and a patio garden where folks can gather, and even though it's a small place, there's an emergency power plan and licensed staff for non-ambulatory care, so people in wheelchairs get access to everything. The community welcomes veterans and offers things like transportation at cost, complimentary rides, resident parking, concierge services, and move-in coordination to make changes easier, and the staff focus on helping people stay independent while giving personal support, with a warm and inviting atmosphere, though the facility has experienced some legal issues and license-related violations over the years, as with many care homes, so it's always a good idea to look into that if someone's interested.
