    Faith-based, compassionate care; price increase

I placed my grandfather at Cloverdale and couldn't have chosen better. Stephanie and her staff gave genuine, faith-based, family-level personal care (they even prayed for residents) - a far deeper, kinder level than his prior ALF, which looked nice but provided poor care. The lakefront setting, quiet, very clean facility, helpful marketing director, clear activity/outings info, nutritionist, and friendly caretakers made it a perfect fit; he passed away there peacefully with loving attention. Only downside: a recent increase of over $1,300/month with no added staff or services. Overall 5/5 - I would not choose a large ALF.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing highly personalized, compassionate care and a family-like culture. Reviewers repeatedly note that Cloverdale Assisted Living offers a deeper level of personal care than other assisted living facilities they experienced, and they credit an engaged ownership presence—specifically naming the owner, Stephanie—and a team of attentive staff for that difference. Several comments point to genuine emotional support for residents, including faith-based elements such as staff prayer and spiritual encouragement, which is meaningful to families seeking that orientation.

Staff and management receive consistent praise. Reviewers describe caretakers and other team members as friendly, loving, and responsive. The marketing director is called out as helpful and informative, providing clear details about activities and outings. Families report that the owners are easy to work with and that staff actively encourage and communicate with family members. The combination of hands-on ownership and attentive staff contributes to reviewers' strong trust and willingness to recommend the community.

The physical environment and amenities are highlighted as strengths. Multiple reviewers describe Cloverdale as very clean, quiet, and well laid out, with a beautiful lakefront location and attractive natural surroundings that enhance residents' quality of life. The facility's setup, views, and sense of place are repeatedly noted as a good fit for older adults who value a calm, scenic environment. On the programming side, reviewers appreciate that there are organized activities and outings, that participation is optional (which suits different resident preferences), and that residents can join communal dinners. The presence of a nutritionist is specifically mentioned, indicating attention to dining and dietary needs.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive themes, a notable concern emerges around cost. At least one reviewer points to a significant price increase—over $1,300 per month—without corresponding hires or clearly documented improvements in services or staffing. That single but substantial complaint introduces questions about affordability and value for some families and suggests that transparent communication around rate changes and what they fund would be important for prospective residents and families to consider.

Patterns across the reviews indicate that Cloverdale appeals strongly to families seeking a smaller, community-oriented, faith-based assisted living option rather than a large institutional facility. Reviewers contrasted Cloverdale favorably against prior experiences in other assisted living facilities that provided poorer care. There are few negative items recorded beyond the pricing concern; no systemic complaints about cleanliness, staffing quality, activities, or management were raised in these summaries. In sum, Cloverdale is presented as a well-maintained, compassionate, and family-centered community with excellent staff engagement and strong resident-focused programming, tempered primarily by potential cost increases that some families may find concerning.
