    Attentive staff, safe, affordable community

My mom is cared for very well here - staff are attentive, on time, and answer questions in detail. The community feels safe and warm, with a clean, open floor plan, many amenities, and reasonable cost. It's a small, fantastic place and I would recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression The collection of summaries indicates a facility that many families find provides attentive, compassionate day-to-day care within a small, community-oriented setting. Reviewers commonly praised staff kindness, punctuality, clear communication, and a leadership tone described as kind; several families explicitly expressed willingness to recommend the facility and noted reasonable pricing. At the same time, the overall assessment is mixed because operational and physical-plant issues reduce fit for some prospective residents.

Care quality and staff Care quality is portrayed positively in most accounts: staff are characterized as responsive, communicative, and generally reliable. Families described residents as being in "good hands" and safe under current caregiving practices. The owner and front-line team receive repeated commendations for kindness and attentiveness. Those strengths suggest consistent personal-care interactions and family-oriented communication practices.

Activities and daily life A notable pattern is limited engagement programming. Several comments indicate a lack of structured, varied activities and periods when residents are seated passively in front of the television. For families who prioritize an active daily schedule, this facility may not meet expectations; prospective residents should request the activity calendar and observe a typical resident day during a tour.

Facilities, cleanliness, and pets Feedback on facility condition is mixed. Some accounts highlight a clean property and well-kept common areas, while others cite clutter, disorganization in shared spaces, and a general need for facility upgrades or TLC. There are also observations indicating that pet housing or pet-related items are present within common living areas, suggesting that pet-management policies and their implementation may be inconsistent. Visitors should inspect communal areas and ask about maintenance schedules, housekeeping routines, and pet policies to gauge current conditions.

Dining, amenities, and logistics Reviewers mentioned an open floor plan and multiple amenities, which can be attractive for social interaction and mobility. Dining received little direct commentary in these summaries; prospective families should ask for menus, meal-service procedures, and examples of portion/food-quality standards. Logistics concerns raised include inconvenient visiting-hour arrangements and limitations around private-room availability or assignment flexibility—items to clarify with management if private accommodations or flexible visiting are priorities.

Management and notable patterns Management and ownership are generally described as kind and approachable, which correlates with the positive remarks about staff conduct. The dominant tensions in the feedback are operational rather than clinical: the need for more engaging programming, clearer communal-space policies (including pet management), and investments in the physical environment. For families seeking a small, affordable community with attentive staff and strong personal communication, this facility may be a good fit. For those prioritizing robust activity schedules, updated physical spaces, private-room options, or flexible visiting policies, it may require further inquiry or consideration of alternatives.

    About Love Village

Love Village sits right in the middle of Miami, Florida, at 11060 S.W. 58th Terrace, and it's a place where seniors can get help with their daily living needs in a setting that feels like home, and the community gives different levels of care for people who want to keep their independence for as long as possible and for those that need more hands-on help or have memory issues, and there's one group home setting where residents and staff form close, family-like relationships, making it easy for people to feel comfortable and safe, and staff are around 24 hours a day to help with things like medication management, meals, personal care, and any medical issues like diabetes or incontinence, and they help people who can't walk easily or need more help with bathing or getting dressed, and if someone needs memory care because of Alzheimer's or another kind of dementia, they have programs and secure areas set up for this, trying to keep people calm and happy, and for those times when someone only needs to stay for a short while, like when a caregiver needs a break, they offer respite care, and rooms have wheelchair accessible showers, making things easier for folks with limited movement, and all the living spaces look to make people feel at ease, with common areas, a garden terrace, and a fountain, giving people some peace and quiet outdoors, and in addition to that, there's a focus on helping everyone stay as active and independent as possible, and though Love Village once offered all these things under names like The Solaire at Las Palmas Village, Courtyard Plaza, Estela Homes For The Elderly Inc., Adult Leisure Living Inc., The Chalet at Old Cutler, Carolina Care Center III, and Valdes Retirement Home, it looks like the corporation's status now shows as inactive, which means services might no longer be running in the same way, but the reviews averaged around 3.6, which suggests some people appreciated it, and the mailing and principal addresses both were at the Miami location, with Liria Saler acting as the registered agent and officer, and over the years, the facility filed regular annual reports, and it's always been classified as a for-profit corporation in Florida since at least 1990, and while there's just one photo, the place seems to have focused on personal care, protection, and support for Miami seniors looking for a safe place, whether for a little help or a lot, and the general feel is relaxed, friendly, and aimed at comfort.
