    Warm community, beautiful but expensive

I live here and absolutely love the warm, helpful staff and lovely, engaged residents - the community feels tight-knit and values-driven. The campus and brand-new, spacious apartments are beautiful, with broad amenities: three dining rooms with 5-star cuisine, diverse activities (lectures, pickleball, movies, swimming), on-site medical office and lots of ways to stay active. It's clearly well-managed and even supportive in storms, but the buy-in is very expensive, parking is limited, and the sales office can be unresponsive while marketing remains persistent. Overall a gem if you can afford it, but proceed with some caution around sales and cost.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Siena Lakes Senior Living Community is strongly positive, with repeated praise for staff quality, management, community life, facilities, and program breadth. The dominant theme is that staff are caring, informed, and helpful — reviewers use terms like "wonderful," "A+ experience," and "helpful staff" frequently. Management and leadership also receive commendations, and the community is described as values-based and tightly knit, often characterized as a family-like environment. Several reviewers point to concrete examples of care and responsiveness, including support provided during Hurricane Ian, which strengthens perceptions of reliable leadership and community support during crises.

Facilities and accommodations are highlighted as a major strength. Multiple summaries note brand-new, large, and beautiful apartments, a large campus that is easy to navigate, and numerous amenities. The property layout and aesthetics are repeatedly described as attractive — reviewers call it a "beautiful community" and a "gem of a place." However, the ambience is sometimes described metaphorically as having a "cruise ship vibe" or being "museum-like/landlocked," which suggests an upscale, possibly formal atmosphere that may appeal to many but not all prospective residents. Limited parking is the main recurring physical drawback mentioned.

Dining and social programming are other frequently mentioned positives. The community reportedly offers three dining areas, and cuisine is described at a very high level ("5-star cuisine"). Activities are broad and diverse: lectures, active groups, pickleball, movies, swimming, speeches and other programs are specifically named, conveying a robust calendar that caters to varied interests. Residents are described as active and engaged, and reviewers note that newcomers will "meet people" and likely find social opportunities that improve quality of life — some comments explicitly say residents are "better off than before." The presence of an on-site medical office is also a noteworthy convenience that enhances perceptions around health and safety.

There are a few consistent concerns that prospective residents and families should consider. Cost is the most concrete negative: reviews label the community "very expensive" and highlight a substantial buy-in required upfront. This financial structure may be prohibitive for many and is an important factor to clarify with the community. Sales and marketing interactions receive mixed feedback: while one comment praises the sales office as "excellent," other reviewers report an "unresponsive sales department," persistent marketing brochures despite requests to stop, and "failed promises" from marketing staff. These conflicting reports suggest variable experiences with the sales process and point to the need for prospective residents to verify promises in writing and persist in follow-up.

Another practical consideration is the relative scarcity of independent resident reviews in the sample, which several summaries allude to. That limited third-party feedback can create uncertainty for families evaluating the community; prospective visitors would benefit from on-site visits, conversations with current residents, and direct references from the community to get a fuller picture. In summary, Siena Lakes appears to be a high-quality, amenity-rich senior living option with strong staff and management, excellent dining and activities, and attractive new facilities. The main trade-offs are cost, some parking constraints, and uneven sales/marketing experiences — all important to investigate further during touring and due diligence.
