    Warm Christian community; considering moving

I toured because I'm looking for a place to find love. This family-owned, Christian community felt warm and at-home-residents seemed genuinely comfortable. Cindy was incredibly helpful and kind. I'm seriously considering moving in.

About Change of Pace Retirement Center

Change of Pace Retirement Center in Ocala, Florida, is a licensed assisted living facility, License #53, with space for up to 28 residents, and this place offers private studio, one-bedroom, semi-private, and two-bedroom apartments where people can have their own space, but then they all come together in shared dining rooms, big indoor common areas, and outdoors in the garden or on patios, sometimes gathering for movie nights or other activities like arts and crafts in the arts room. Residents can get help with daily needs, like bathing, dressing, eating, walking, using the bathroom, getting in and out of bed or wheelchairs, and there's staff trained and on hand around the clock, and nurses are available 12 to 16 hours each day, with a full-time emergency alert system in the rooms and throughout the building, which helps people feel safe if anything happens. There's support for people who have diabetes, need help with medication, or memory care support for Alzheimer's and other memory-related illnesses, and families can create individualized care plans with the staff. Residents receive regular meals, and the kitchen can handle special diets such as those for diabetes or allergies. There's scheduled transportation for medical appointments, shopping, or outings to local events in Ocala, and sometimes staff help with moving in, laundry, housekeeping, and managing medications as needed. The community encourages people to get involved with both staff-run and resident-run activities, including religious services and offsite trips, and friends or relatives are welcome to visit any time, especially to join meals. Amenities include a library, walking paths, a hair salon or barber, and safe areas for gathering or walking. Fees depend on the care level needed and type of room, with private pay, commercial insurance, veterans' benefits, and social security all accepted, and there may be extra charges for the community or respite care, along with a buy-in fee. Change of Pace Retirement Center focuses on giving people a comfortable life with choices, dignity, and friendly faces around, without being too far from the happenings in the Ocala area.
