    Welcoming small family style home

I feel at home in this small, family-style place - the staff are wonderful, accommodating, and really make me feel like I belong. I have a comfortable private room, family dining, a cozy living room with a back porch and fenced backyard, and there are church activities plus outings for shopping and movies. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience.

    Summary of reviews

Eden Manor presents as a small, home-like assisted living option with a clear emphasis on a family atmosphere and one-to-one attention. Multiple reviewers highlighted the facility's intimate scale, private rooms, communal family-style dining, and homey common spaces such as a living room and back porch. The presence of a fenced-in backyard and on-site religious programming were also noted as positive features that support resident comfort and routine.

Care quality is described positively in terms of individualized attention and a history of competent care; families described staff who work with residents and coordinate with relatives. That said, reviewers also described low levels of resident activity and engagement during the day, which can affect perceptions of overall quality of life for some residents. Prospective families should evaluate whether the facility's level of daily stimulation matches the incoming resident's needs.

Staff are a central strength: many comments praised individual caregivers as compassionate and willing to accommodate families. At the same time, reviewers noted variability in interactions and responsiveness, particularly when contacting the facility by phone. These communication inconsistencies suggest the facility may be strong at in-person, hands-on care but could improve formal communication processes and front-desk responsiveness.

Dining and amenities reflect the small-facility, home-like model: meals served in a family dining format and small common spaces support social interaction on a modest scale rather than large-program entertainment. The physical plant is functional but not modern; some reviewers described the environment as older and lacking recent updates. Private rooms and outdoor access are positive features, but families seeking contemporary finishes or greater on-site amenities should verify suitability during a visit.

Activities and management: there is limited evidence of formalized activity programming—reviewers specifically cited the absence of an activity calendar and a lack of group activities. The facility does provide religious services and occasional outings for shopping and movies, indicating some community engagement but not a comprehensive schedule of structured activities. Management appears willing to accommodate individual requests, yet the lack of documented programming and uneven phone responsiveness are operational gaps to clarify before placement.

Overall pattern: Eden Manor may be a good fit for residents and families prioritizing a small, familiar environment and personalized caregiving. Those who require or expect robust, varied activity programming, modernized facilities, or consistently prompt phone-based communication should assess those areas directly during a tour and ask for samples of activity schedules and communication protocols.

    About Eden Manor

Eden Manor sits in Orlando, Florida, and serves as a residential care home focused on seniors who want privacy but need extra help, with its building dating back to 1910 and later renovated in 1994, so it has history and modern comforts together, and it's got lush gardens and elegant architecture that's easy on the eyes. The capacity tops out at six beds for assisted living, offering a small, quiet community where folks can get to know each other, and friendly staff members help whenever someone needs support with daily tasks, always aiming to respect independence. Eden Manor covers a wide range of care-including independent living, memory care for those with dementia, help with daily activities, short-term stays after surgeries or injuries, and professional nursing support around the clock for health needs-without being overwhelming or crowded, which can be a relief for some people.

There's a structured program of activities, keeping residents engaged with events, educational opportunities, and both social and entertaining things to do, plus kosher and vegetarian meal options if someone needs them, so every resident's preferences and health needs are taken into consideration. Dining is quality-focused, aiming to fit diets and tastes, and there are common areas both indoors and in outdoor spaces, where it's easy to take part in activities or just relax, sometimes with pets since it's pet-friendly. Prospective residents can schedule a tour, see the grounds, visit the versatile event space-used for things like weddings or other special occasions-and meet the staff and others living there. The monthly cost for assisted living starts at $2,000, but specific prices aren't published; availability can be checked through their service before making a decision. The facility's state license number is 10439. Eden Manor is close to medical offices, shops, restaurants, and outdoor options in Orlando, so seniors stay connected with the wider community. The idea is to help seniors age in place with dignity, enjoy privacy and comfort, and live an active, supported life.
