    About The Gardens Court

The Gardens Court is a senior living community for people 55 and older that offers different levels of care, like independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing, which means folks can get help with daily tasks or more serious medical care if that's needed, and they also have respite and hospice care for people who might need extra help for just a little while or at the end of life. The place provides long-term and short-term stays, both in private and semiprivate rooms with private bathrooms, and lets people get things like housekeeping, laundry, religious services, and transportation, plus if you want to bring your pet for a visit, you can do that too. There's always a nurse around because they offer 24-hour skilled nursing care and have doctors on hand, with medication management, IV therapy, wound care, hospice, palliative, oxygen, infection management, and cardiac rehab services, and they also handle case management and discharge planning, which means they help folks when it's time to go home or need some extra support. The Gardens Court provides many therapies, including physical, speech, and occupational therapy, to help people keep moving, talking, swallowing, and handling things like dressing or bathing, and they have both in-patient and out-patient programs, plus special offerings like aquatic therapy and even something called back-to-golf rehabilitation for people who want to get back on the course. The facility features four rehabilitation gyms with modern equipment, and a team of in-house therapists and nurses builds a plan that's specific to each person, so no one is getting the same cookie-cutter experience, and you can even join a community re-entry program that helps with getting back into the swing of things after a hospital visit. There's a full-time, certified activity director who keeps a daily schedule of activities, and residents, along with families, can join family and resident councils to share what they think, and there's a certified dietitian making sure the food fits people's health needs. The Gardens Court's campus includes a beauty salon and barber shop, landscaped grounds and courtyards, a library, plus free wireless Internet, telephone and cable hookups, and safety systems like 24-hour security and fire protection, which helps everyone feel more secure. For folks considering a visit, the place has online features like a video tour, a photo gallery, and a map to see where they're located, and prospective residents can schedule a tour to walk through themselves. The Gardens Court is run by Life Care Centers of America, and they keep a Facebook page where you can look for updates about what's going on in the facility. The building itself has a homelike feel, with amenities tailored to the needs and interests of local people, so while it's not perfect, it does provide a wide range of health and support services in a setting meant to feel like home.
