    Warm immaculate caring assisted living

My mom has lived here long-term and I'm extremely pleased - a small, home-like, immaculate house where residents are well cared for. Christina and her staff are warm, professional and hands-on; communication and meds are timely, meals are fresh and delicious, and activities keep things engaging. It's safe, great value, and I highly recommend this ALF in Palm Coast.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries is strongly positive. The dominant themes are high-quality, personalized care delivered in a small, private-home setting and a hands-on approach by the owner/administrator (frequently named Christina Carlough). Multiple reviewers explicitly state confidence in care, long-term satisfaction for residents, and enthusiastic recommendations. Staff are repeatedly described as compassionate, loving, professional, and attentive — with specific praise for dignity, respect, and a calm environment.

Care quality and staffing are consistently highlighted. Reviews emphasize one-on-one attention, timely medication administration, and responsiveness to medical needs, giving families confidence in day-to-day clinical and personal care. The owner/administrator is repeatedly singled out for going "above and beyond," being accessible, and maintaining a visible, involved presence. Several reviews mention that management is reachable and communicates well with families. These comments together paint a picture of a small facility where leadership and staff are directly engaged in residents' wellbeing.

Facility and cleanliness impressions are overwhelmingly positive: many reviewers call the homes bright, immaculate, fresh-smelling, and very clean. The environment is described as cheerful and well-kept, contributing to a safe and pleasant atmosphere. However, there is an isolated but noteworthy negative comment reporting "filthy walls" and poor cleanliness. While this single outlier contrasts sharply with the majority, it should be noted as a potential concern to verify during a tour or follow-up.

Dining is another strong point in the reviews. Meals are frequently described as home-cooked, fresh, and appealing (some reviewers specifically note no canned foods and meals prepared by a nutritionist). Positive sensory comments — meals smelling good and being tasty — were repeated, reinforcing the facility's focus on quality nutrition and enjoyable dining experiences.

Social life and activities receive frequent positive mention. Reviewers list a variety of engaging options such as card games, karaoke, weekly happy hour, puzzles, spa days, and other events — contributing to an inviting, family-like atmosphere. The small size seems to foster close social bonds and individualized activity planning rather than large-scale programming.

Value and occupancy patterns: several reviews call the facility reasonably priced and good value for the level of care provided. Full occupancy is mentioned, which signals demand and satisfaction but also indicates potential wait times or placement difficulty for new residents. The small-home model is a strength for individualized attention but can be a tradeoff for those seeking larger communities or more extensive on-site services.

Notable patterns and final assessment: families repeatedly express trust and gratitude, sometimes referencing long-term residencies and strong personal appreciation for staff and leadership. The most consistent positives are personalized care, hands-on management, quality meals, engaging activities, and a clean, home-like environment. The principal concerns to follow up on are the facility's small size and availability, potential privacy issues with roommate transitions, and the isolated report of poor cleanliness. Prospective families should schedule a visit, meet Christina and staff, observe dining and medication routines, and inspect the home's condition to confirm the overwhelmingly positive trends reported in these reviews.
