    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews present a consistently positive portrait of Therapeutic Assisted Living. The dominant themes are a very small, home-like residential setting, personalized and compassionate care, exceptionally clean and well-maintained facilities, and high-quality, nutrition-focused meals. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize trust in ownership and management, strong communication from leadership (LaTasha/administrator is mentioned by name and praised), and visible evidence that residents are happy, groomed, and well cared for. Many reviewers explicitly state they would highly recommend the facility and refer others.

Care quality and staff: Care is portrayed as highly individualized, with multiple reviewers highlighting one-on-one attention, medication management, and a therapeutic, peaceful approach to residents. The presence of a knowledgeable RN and attentive director is noted, which supports both clinical oversight and family communication. Staff are described as compassionate, patient, kind, and often going above and beyond; reviewers emphasize bonds formed between staff and residents and a family-like culture. The administrative team and owners are repeatedly called trustworthy, organized, and personable. This combination suggests that clinical needs within the assisted-living scope are met alongside strong emotional and personal support.

Facilities and environment: The physical setting is characterized as small, cozy, warm, welcoming, and exceptionally clean — several reviews call it the cleanest and nicest facility they know. The house model (maximum of six residents) creates an intimate atmosphere likened to family, with minimal drama and a peaceful, loving environment. The small size is a consistent selling point for reviewers who value individualized attention and a quiet setting.

Dining and nutrition: Dining receives specific praise: meals are home-cooked, family-style, described as fresh, healthy, delicious, and designed by a nutritionist. Reviewers mention customized meals and attention to dietary needs, which contributes to perceptions of high-quality, person-centered care. Family-style dining also reinforces the home-like, communal experience that reviewers value.

Activities and social life: Reviews emphasize bonding, a loving environment, and personal interactions rather than listing a broad program of activities. The small, home-like scale appears to foster close relationships and daily social interaction, but there is little detail about structured activity calendars or specialized programming. The emphasis is on individualized engagement and supportive social dynamics rather than large-group events.

Management, communication, and reputation: Communication from leadership is repeatedly praised as frequent and top-notch, providing families with peace of mind. The owner/operator and administrator receive many positive mentions by name, reinforcing trust. Several reviews note that staff connected families with additional resources or went beyond expectations to advise and help, indicating a proactive and connected management style.

Notable patterns and potential limitations: The overwhelmingly positive tone across reviews is a clear pattern; reviewers consistently highlight the same strengths: small scale, cleanliness, compassionate staff, and excellent meals. Potential limitations inferred from the reviews include the facility’s very small capacity, which may not be suitable for people seeking a larger social community or needing extensive, high-acuity medical services not described in the summaries. The reviews do not provide details about pricing, specific licensure, or how the facility handles residents with complex medical needs over the long term. There is also little explicit information about structured activity programming beyond the close interpersonal environment, which could matter to families looking for broader recreational or therapeutic offerings.

Bottom line: Therapeutic Assisted Living appears to excel at delivering a personalized, home-like assisted living experience with strong clinical oversight for typical assisted-living needs, exceptional cleanliness, nutrition-focused meals, and highly praised staff and management. It is especially well-suited to families who prioritize individualized attention, a calm and loving atmosphere, and close staff-resident relationships. Prospective residents and families should consider the small-house model’s tradeoffs—limited capacity and fewer large-group activities—and may want to ask directly about long-term management of high-acuity medical needs, costs, and any additional programming when evaluating fit.

    About Therapeutic Assisted Living

Therapeutic Assisted Living is dedicated to creating an environment where residents feel truly at home and are empowered to reach their fullest potential. The care philosophy centers on providing compassionate, client-centered care through a holistic approach that focuses on the overall wellbeing of each resident. The foundational value at the heart of the community is love, which is reflected in the dedication to honesty, integrity, and compassion. The intentionally low census capacity allows Therapeutic Assisted Living to operate much like a family unit, with each resident being treated as more than just an occupant, but as a cherished member of a tight-knit community.

Residents at Therapeutic Assisted Living benefit from a variety of engaging daily services that are thoughtfully designed to promote dignity, purpose, and respect. The home offers both private and semi-private, bright accommodations with around-the-clock supervision provided by trained caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants, all under the oversight of the Administrator. Medication monitoring and management are a critical part of the service; the staff is certified to assist with self-administered medication, ensuring storage, administration, and documentation is handled meticulously. Open communication with physicians is prioritized to report any changes in status or observed adverse reactions, always with an eye towards increasing each resident’s quality of life.

Nutrition is a key pillar of care at Therapeutic Assisted Living. The community partners with a licensed dietitian who crafts a rotating four-week menu cycle comprising whole foods that nourish the body while meeting doctors’ recommended requirements, including diets tailored to diabetic, cardiac, renal, and pureed needs. Meals are always the resident’s choice, with substitutes available and ongoing opportunities for residents to express their preferences, such as during Residents Council Meetings. The mealtime experience is both flexible and resident-driven, making it another important way Therapeutic Assisted Living maintains its homelike atmosphere.

In addition to essential daily living support such as assistance with transfers, feeding, toileting, bathing, dressing, and housekeeping, residents find personalized extended services to support aging in place. Hospice care and Extended Congregate Care services are available, with the goal of enabling continuity and comfort as needs change. The community’s connection with a house call doctor and pharmacy brings added convenience, while transportation services ensure residents can attend appointments and engagements as needed. Residents also receive fall prevention training, therapy screening, and education on the safe use of assistive devices, further emphasizing the commitment to safety and ongoing independence.

The vibrant atmosphere at Therapeutic Assisted Living is enriched with a wide array of activities designed to foster socialization and create opportunities for making new memories. Residents can participate in local religious affiliation groups, Bingo, gardening, senior exercise sessions, arts and crafts, and karaoke, among other options. These regular events, carefully tailored for elderly participants, not only boost morale but also support the maintenance of functional mobility and overall wellbeing. The community actively promotes a culture where seniors can thrive, stay strong, and take joy in their daily lives.

Therapeutic Assisted Living places a high value on connecting residents with their families and support networks through a clear and welcoming visitation policy. Residents are afforded the right to identify an Essential Caregiver—someone who may be a family member, friend, or guardian—who will provide emotional support and assistance in navigating challenging transitions, significant life events, and everyday encouragement. The Essential Caregiver is closely involved, especially during times of emotional distress, major medical decisions, or when a resident may need additional encouragement and support. This approach ensures that residents’ emotional and social needs are met alongside their medical and physical care, fostering a truly holistic living experience.

The community’s dedication to education and the continuous training of staff—led by the designated infection prevention and control key staff person, Latasha Rowell—ensures that both safety and comfort are maintained. Essential caregivers receive thorough training in infection prevention, the use of personal protective equipment, and proper hygiene practices, and the policies promote ongoing communication and adaptability to changing needs. At Therapeutic Assisted Living, all of these factors combine to create a setting where residents are treated with respect, supported in their autonomy, and surrounded by a caring and professional team devoted to making each day full, meaningful, and secure.
