    Wonderful care and attentive staff

My father is wonderfully cared for here - the amazing owners and a fantastic, well-trained staff emphasize senior well-being with 24-hour attention, home-cooked meals in a dining room, private furnished rooms, and a stable, gorgeous home that blends into the neighborhood. I highly recommend this place; the staff know residents by name and my mother is happy too.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the provided reviews is strongly positive regarding the quality of care, staff, and the homelike physical environment. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize that the owners are amazing and attentive, and that the facility places a clear emphasis on resident well-being. Multiple reviewers state that their family members (both mothers and fathers) were happy and well taken care of, and several explicitly highly recommend the community. The predominant impression is of a small, well-run assisted living home that offers a stable, reassuring environment for seniors.

Care quality is described as excellent and personalized. Reviews highlight 24-hour care availability and note that staff know residents by name, suggesting close attention and continuity of care. Commenters note both the quality of the care provided to individual residents ("mother is happy", "wonderful for father, well taken care of") and an overall emphasis on fostering senior well-being. The repeated assertions that the staff are "well-trained" and "fantastic" support the view that caregivers are competent and compassionate.

Staffing and relationships are a prominent theme. Reviewers use words like "friendly," "fantastic," and "well-trained," and emphasize personalized attention (staff knowing residents by name). This indicates strong staff-resident relationships and a likely low staff turnover or consistent staffing model enabling familiarity with residents. Owners are described as "amazing" and caring for seniors personally, which points to hands-on management and leadership that prioritize resident needs.

The physical environment and amenities are also noted positively. The facility is described as a "gorgeous home" that blends into the neighborhood, suggesting an attractive, non-institutional setting. Practical amenities mentioned include a dedicated dining room, home-cooked meals, and private furnished rooms—features that contribute to a home-like atmosphere and daily comfort. Reviewers emphasize a stable environment, which is important to families seeking predictable, calm settings for their loved ones.

One notable pattern is the uniformity of positive feedback: multiple reviewers independently recommend the facility and praise the same core aspects (owners, staff, care, meals, rooms). This consistency strengthens the credibility of the positive claims. However, there is a lack of detail about specific programs, activities, medical services beyond 24-hour care, or external healthcare coordination; those areas are not addressed in the summaries provided and would merit follow-up if important to a prospective family.

The most significant concern appearing in the summaries is that the "facility closed down." This single negative item contrasts sharply with the otherwise uniformly positive reviews and is material: a closure would directly affect current and prospective residents and negate the availability of the praised services. Because of this, anyone using these reviews to evaluate the community should verify the facility's current operational status, ask about closure timing and reasons, and determine where affected residents were relocated and how transitions were managed. In summary, while the reviews paint a picture of excellent, home-like care delivered by caring owners and attentive staff, the reported facility closure is a critical fact that requires confirmation and clarification before making any decisions based on these testimonials.

    About Spruce Creek Assisted Living

Spruce Creek Assisted Living Facility sits right in the heart of Port Orange, Florida, over at 5953 Broken Bow Ln, and you'll see the community's location clearly with the map tool if you're looking online, which does help you picture where you're heading, and when folks come to stay here, they usually have help with housekeeping, laundry, and meals, because there's a chef and cooking staff on-site working to put out one to three nutritious meals daily, including snacks all hours, and you can even request vegetarian or kosher diets, which some people seem to appreciate, though the real care comes through in the daily help with medications, bathing, and personal grooming, with trained staff around the clock and security systems in place in case there's an emergency. Living spaces are comfortable and you get private rooms, some fully furnished, but they're fine with you bringing your own furniture and bits and pieces from home if that suits you, and some rooms offer private baths or wheelchair accessible showers for those who need them, so you don't have to worry about access, and everyone has the option to join in on planned activities, both social and educational, devotional activities, and some offsite events, too, that get everybody out of the building for a bit. There are outdoor and indoor common areas to sit and socialize, with a residents lounge if you're feeling chatty, and the grounds have enough space for quiet time or some light recreation, while transportation is available at a cost if you need a ride to an appointment, plus parking for those residents who still drive.

If you need more care, like memory care for Alzheimer's or other memory conditions, or you're there for respite or nursing home services, the team's trained to handle high acuity needs, medication management, non-ambulatory care, and incontinence help, and they work with hospice if that time comes, so all of life's stages have some support, and the goal is always to help folks stay independent and to keep their dignity. There's an online system where families can check reviews, get pricing, and look over detailed community information, and real people answer when you call with questions or fill out a message form, which makes big decisions a bit easier since they're around to help you find a place that fits what you need-no charge to families for this help, since they're paid by partner communities if someone moves in, and they'll even help you compare options if you want. The staff encourages socializing and friendship among residents, and there are programs built to keep everyone involved and feeling included, but if you'd rather keep to yourself in a private unit, that's fine, too, and your day can be as busy or as quiet as you like, so the environment ends up feeling a lot more like home than an institution.

Spruce Creek Assisted Living Facility keeps information open for families so everyone can feel confident when making care decisions, with verified reviews from actual residents or their families posted online, and the facility does a good job matching seniors to living options that fit a wide variety of needs, whether you're looking for independent living with a bit of help, full assisted living, or need memory support, and they'll work with you to tailor services in a respectful, caring manner without being pushy about it, because sometimes, steady support and a little information end up helping people the most.
