    Grateful but concerned about management

I placed my mom here and overall I'm grateful: the studios are nice, the community is quiet, secure and home-like with an enclosed courtyard. The caregiving staff were loving and resident-focused - Ashley and Amanda were extra special and made her last moments meaningful. Care was good pre-COVID; 2020 restrictions and window visits were tough. However, management instability, frequent turnover and a sometimes stressful/toxic atmosphere raised safety concerns. Office and concierge staff were warm and fees reasonable, so I recommend with caution.

    About Sodalis Quincy

Sodalis Quincy in Quincy, Florida, served as a senior living community that offered a wide range of care options like assisted living, independent living, memory care, retirement communities, nursing homes, and continuing care before closing its doors. The campus featured care homes meant for people 55 and older, and you'd find personal care assistants along with a part-time nurse on staff. Residents could get support with bathing, dressing, eating, using the bathroom, moving from bed, medication reminders, and even cooking and laundry. Shared dining rooms made meals easy, and activities and games happened right onsite, with outings and trips for those who enjoyed going out. Communal spaces had cable TV, there was WiFi in the rooms, and some units came with kitchenettes so residents could prepare simple meals. There were health services, fitness and wellness programs, salon and barber services, and even podiatrist visits, plus laundry and housekeeping handled by staff so people didn't have to worry about chores. Pets were allowed, and facilities included wheelchair-accessible showers and garden space.

Specialized memory care services were set up for people with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, with 24-hour supervision and support. For active and independent seniors, there were apartments where they could enjoy privacy and social activities without too much help. There was also transportation for shopping, doctors' visits, and planned outings. Parking for residents was available, and the dining room welcomed guests for meals. Devotional services and religious support were part of life there too. The community ran as a licensed healthcare provider, known under NPI number 1033858139, and had been active since 2022, operating at 1125 Ralph Strong Road. While Sodalis Quincy offered many amenities, such as games, outings, recreation, and social spaces, it's important to know the facility is now closed, so these services are no longer available.
