    Compassionate clean home-like personalized care

I'm so grateful for the warm, professional staff who treated my mom like family-compassionate, attentive, and always communicating with us and coordinating doctor's appointments. The place is beautifully maintained and spotless, feels like a private home, serves fresh home-cooked meals, offers organized activities and personalized one-on-one care that gave us real peace of mind. After a terrible rehab experience, this welcoming, safe, joyful community exceeded expectations-I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviewers consistently express strong, overwhelmingly positive sentiment about Awaken Assisted Living Facility. Multiple independent summaries emphasize the same core strengths: a warm, intimate, home-like atmosphere; exceptionally caring and professional staff; thorough cleanliness and maintenance; engaging daily life; and reliable clinical and administrative support. The reviews do not raise recurring complaints or service gaps; instead they repeatedly characterize the community as one that provides peace of mind to residents and families.

Care quality and staff: A dominant theme across the reviews is the quality of caregiving. Staff are described as compassionate, attentive, professional, and willing to provide individualized, one-on-one care. Several reviewers emphasize that residents are treated like family—one explicitly noted staff treated their mother 'like a queen' and were flexible enough to adapt to her schedule. Care extends beyond basic needs: reviewers report prompt response to physical needs, timely coordination of medical appointments, and ongoing communication about health. The combination of clinical competence and warmth is repeatedly cited as a major differentiator compared with prior negative experiences at other rehab or long-term care facilities.

Facility, cleanliness and safety: Reviewers consistently praise the physical environment. The facility is described as beautifully maintained, extremely clean, organized, and private/home-like rather than institutional. Multiple accounts highlight that residents look happy and healthy in that environment. Safety and comfort are emphasized—families repeatedly note feeling reassured by the cleanliness, presentation, and upkeep. The facility's organization and appearance appear to contribute strongly to caller confidence and recommendations.

Dining, activities and social life: Awaken is portrayed as offering fresh, home-cooked meals with attention to healthy eating and exercise. Daily menus and a focus on nutrition are singled out as positive features. Activity programming is described as engaging and upbeat, with organized events, holiday celebrations, and frequent social gatherings that foster community and independence. Reviewers note residents as joyful, relaxed, and actively participating in community life, indicating a well-rounded approach to social and mental wellbeing.

Admissions, family engagement and management: The admission and transition processes are reported to be smooth and painless, with staff described as helpful and communicative during move-in. Management and caregiving staff appear to work well with families—coordinating doctors' appointments, keeping relatives updated on health status, and welcoming family interaction. This family-like approach, combined with clear communication, contributes to reviewers' sense of trust and willingness to recommend the facility.

Comparisons and recommendations: Several reviewers explicitly contrast their positive experience at Awaken with poor treatment at previous rehab facilities, underscoring the perceived improvement in care quality, attention, and environment. 'Highly recommended' is a frequent refrain, and multiple reviewers indicate they would place relatives at Awaken, reinforcing the community's reputation among current families.

Notable patterns and caveats: The reviews present a consistent, repeatable pattern of praise across staffing, cleanliness, programming, dining, and administrative responsiveness, with virtually no recurrent negatives identified in the supplied summaries. That uniform positivity suggests high overall satisfaction but also raises the typical caveat about potential selection or reporting bias—people with positive experiences may be more likely to submit summaries. For prospective families, the reviews strongly support scheduling a visit and meeting staff to verify fit, observe meal service and activities, and confirm how individualized care plans would meet a specific resident's needs.

Bottom line: Based on the aggregated summaries, Awaken Assisted Living Facility excels at delivering personalized, compassionate care in a clean, home-like setting with good food, active programming, and strong family communication. The consistent praise indicates a facility that provides both quality hands-on care and an environment that promotes dignity, independence, and joy. Prospective residents and families should consider Awaken a highly recommended option while still performing an in-person visit to confirm compatibility with individual care requirements.

    About Awaken Assisted Living Facility

Awaken Assisted Living Facility, also licensed under the name Awaken Assisted Living LLC, is a small senior home at 11102 Purple Martin Blvd in Riverview, Florida, and the place only holds up to five residents, so folks staying there get lots of attention and the caregivers get to know each person well, which really helps with dignity and comfort as people age. Run by two registered nurses who live on site, this board and care home feels more like a real house than a big facility, and families often find peace of mind knowing their loved ones can relax in a quiet setting surrounded by the same familiar staff every day, which is important if someone is living with memory loss or a chronic health problem that needs extra watching over. The care team helps residents with everything from managing their medicines and preparing meals to getting dressed, moving around, bathing, and just those regular things most older folks need a hand with, and they don't rush anybody. Everyone living there gets a care plan that's meant for their specific likes and needs, so folks can keep their sense of independence and stay as active as they're able. The house is designed for safety and calm, which is especially helpful for someone with dementia, and memory care programs there offer simple, memory-boosting activities that help residents feel included. The home provides long-term stays or short respite stays for families who need a quick break. There are regular activities meant to bring people together, giving residents some company and a sense of belonging, and meals are home-cooked right in the kitchen. Services run twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and when someone needs more help, nurses are ready with medical support like wound care or rehabilitation. Awaken Assisted Living Facility focuses on giving people as much independence as possible for as long as possible, and the quiet setting and small size mean each senior is truly known while having a place that feels both safe and warm.
