    About Magnify

Magnify of Central Florida, over on 401 Bishop Grady Ct in St. Cloud, is a non-profit group that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They've got a main building where folks can live, learn, and get support in everyday life, which they call Horizons-Residential, and they've also got programs for building life skills through Connections-Life Skills, finding jobs with Talent-Employment and Project SEARCH, and helping young people move from school into work with youth transition services and Career Camp. They don't overlook advocacy or helping people speak up for themselves, and they run things by a team that includes a Director of Finance and Administration and a Registered Nurse. They help folks feel part of the community by offering adult day training, support for employment like supported employment and job readiness, and making sure there's plenty of social and creative things to do, like arts and crafts. There's a real focus on helping everyone grow, develop their talents, and feel proud of what they can do, no matter their abilities. They promote independence and celebrate the gifts each person brings, and they try to make sure everyone's got a chance to thrive, be active, and have choices. That's a big part of their mission-helping people reach their full potential in living, learning, and working, whether that's through their residential care, life skills classes, job training, or specialized educational programs. Now, they offer different kinds of support with purpose-built tools for nonprofits too, including things like managing other nonprofit information, benchmarking, and system integrations, but on some browsers, you might need to switch to something else to access all those features, and they also have ways of connecting with Facebook and supporting nonprofit research. The environment feels supportive and respectful, and every program or service aims to help people with disabilities live fuller, more independent lives.
