    Caring, clean home with issues

I couldn't be happier - Marilyn (a nurse) and the owners/staff manage meds, daily showers, laundry/fresh clothes and even take residents to church. The home is very clean, feels family-like, and the home-cooked, nutritious meals are delicious; my mom is happy, talkative and always smiling. Staff consistently go above and beyond and I trust them completely - real peace of mind. Small caveat: one owner can be rude and there are animal/noise concerns, so it may not suit every long-term resident.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in these reviews is strongly positive, with the majority of reviewers expressing high satisfaction with the care and environment at Residence Club at Seminole. A central strength repeatedly cited is the hands-on involvement of the owner, who is described as a nurse and personally attentive to residents’ needs. Specific examples given include professional medication management, daily showers, shaving, and laundry with fresh clothes daily — details that give family members confidence and peace of mind. Reviewers emphasize that this clinical competence combined with personal attention produces a high level of trust.

Staff quality and culture are another dominant positive theme. Multiple reviews describe the caregivers as compassionate, loving, and skilled — often going "above and beyond." The facility is repeatedly characterized as having a family-like, homey atmosphere where residents are comfortable, friendly, and often seen smiling, talkative, and engaged. Several reviewers explicitly say their loved ones have been transformed since moving in, becoming happier and more sociable. This sense of warm, individualized attention appears to be a key differentiator for reviewers who recommend the facility.

Dining and housekeeping are frequently praised. Numerous reviewers highlight nutritious, well-balanced, home-cooked meals made fresh daily and described as delicious. Housekeeping and organization are commonly noted as strengths: reviewers report a clean, tidy environment and regular laundry service. These practical daily supports — good food, cleanliness, and predictable personal care — are presented as important contributors to the overall perception of high-quality care and to families’ peace of mind.

Facilities and daily life also receive positive comments: the setting is described as a beautiful, home-like property with friendly greetings and a welcoming staff. Activities and personal supports are mentioned in specific cases (for example, the owner bringing a resident to church on Sundays), indicating staff willingness to support residents’ personal routines and preferences. Several reviewers highlight the facility as a good long-term placement, indicating stability and continuity of care.

There are a few notable concerns, though they are limited in number relative to the praise. One reviewer described the owner as rude, and another raised a substantive concern about a dog being left outside in the heat and barking — raising questions about animal care and whether pets are managed appropriately around vulnerable residents. At least one comment suggested the facility "may not be great for elderly residents," and another brief note flagged cleanliness as "inappropriate." These comments appear isolated compared with the majority view but are nonetheless important: they point to potential issues with management behavior, animal policies, and the need for consistent hygiene practices. Prospective families should ask about pet policies, visit at varying times of day, and discuss any expectations about staff demeanor and cleanliness standards.

In summary, the reviews present Residence Club at Seminole as a small, well-run assisted living environment with strong clinical oversight from an owner with nursing credentials, attentive daily personal care, compassionate staff, and high-quality home-cooked meals. The dominant impression is one of a warm, family-like community that produces measurable improvements in resident mood and family confidence. While praise is widespread, a small number of significant concerns were raised around owner behavior and pet management; these should be probed during a tour or conversation with management. Overall, most reviewers highly recommend the facility based on consistent reports of professional care, cleanliness, nutritious meals, and caring staff.

    About Residence Club at Seminole

Residence Club at Seminole sits in Florida, licensed as ALF 8378, and is a senior community that tries to cover a big range of needs in a well-kept and peaceful place, and from what's known, they've got caregivers awake and on duty all day and night, with just 15 assisted living units, so it doesn't ever feel too crowded, and there's a mix of studio apartments, single bedrooms, and semi-private spaces, all set up with private baths and wheelchair accessible showers, and the building itself is wheelchair friendly, which makes it easier for folks with different mobility levels. Residents can get regular meals, including kosher and vegetarian options, and home laundry, and they don't have to worry about getting to appointments because transportation is covered for everything from medical visits and therapy to shopping and spiritual needs, and there's parking for those who still drive. The staff follow custom care plans, providing personal help with continence, bathing, dressing, and even injections or diabetic care, and if a resident needs a lift transfer, whether by one or two people or by a machine, it's all handled right there. There's a secured community for memory care with special technology-residents who might wander wear bracelets that set off an alarm, and the building's designed so folks with Alzheimer's or other dementias who act out can stay safe. The memory care staff run programs and activities to keep minds busy, like music therapy, games, arts and crafts, and outings, and you'll find both indoor and outdoor common areas, a theatre, a bistro, a library, a chapel, a landscaped courtyard, a jacuzzi or spa, a fitness area, a salon, and a book room. Activities run every day, and they arrange community events, movie nights, creative classes, music, and even animal therapy, plus both on-site and off-site devotional services, and smoking is allowed but only in outdoor spots. Medical care includes nurse and doctor access, case management, pharmacy coordination, and visiting therapists for speech, physical, or occupational needs, and if a resident becomes seriously ill, there's hospice care and respite stays to give families a break. The place is secured and set up with a wandering alert system, and behavioral care is offered too, for folks who might have symptoms that need more attention. Residence Club at Seminole supports a range from light help for those who mostly manage alone, all the way up to high-acuity and non-ambulatory care, so residents don't have to move as their needs change, and staff are trained and ready to manage insulin, complicated medications, or even strict diets for conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes, all while trying to keep a home-like feel, with everyday comforts, WiFi, and a caring team who help residents stay as independent as possible.
