    About Oakwood East ALF

Oakwood East ALF, once called Oakwood East Retirement Center, held a Florida license number AL4831 and sat in Tarpon Springs, FL, providing assisted living and senior care until it closed, but when it was open, it served older adults who needed help with daily living and supportive housing in what felt like a comfortable, home-style group setting, and you'd walk in and find common living rooms for social activities, dining rooms, indoor and outdoor spaces to sit or walk, and separate bedrooms for privacy, with care for up to 10 residents in semi-private or studio apartments. It didn't take Medicare unless certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, but it followed state rules for assisted living, offering 24-hour supervision, help with personal care like bathing, dressing, medication management, transfers, and monitoring health, sometimes even for those needing advanced memory care for Alzheimer's. While residents could bring pets and enjoy meals prepared for dietary needs like diabetes, the staff could help with insulin checks, incontinence, and non-ambulatory care, and connected residents to outside healthcare services if needed. Oakwood East ALF supported seniors through long-term or short-term respite care, adult day care, therapy solutions, and offered programs for movement and social time, with offsite trips, devotional activities, and chances for group or solo activities. They provided move-in help, transportation for medical appointments, staff always on-site for emergencies, and tried to keep a peaceful, inviting environment for companionship as you age. Though Oakwood East ALF is no longer open, it played a part in senior care near Tarpon Springs, giving both families and residents peace of mind in a homelike, closely supervised residential community with a licensed capacity of 10 beds and a focus on safety and comfort.
