About Wilton Manors Health and Rehabilitation Center

Wilton Manors Health and Rehabilitation Center sits in a tropical setting with shady patios and gardens, and the place gives off a warm, family-like atmosphere where folks can settle in and feel comfortable, since the staff works hard to keep things home-like and safe for everyone, from the inviting reception area with nice chairs and art to the private rooms with fresh flowers, private bathrooms, call buttons, and big windows for lots of sunlight, plus semi-private rooms with privacy curtains, adjustable beds, and cheerful decorations like towel swans and flowers so everyone feels a bit more at ease. The center has 147 beds, including 83 private rooms and 29 special Rapid Recovery suites for short-term rehab, and every space comes with an emergency call system and has been designed to prevent accident hazards.

You'll find a modern, well-kept rehab gym with parallel bars, stair-climbing equipment, and weight machines, plus state-of-the-art rehab equipment that's updated and maintained, while the dedicated team handles all kinds of therapy- physical, occupational, orthopedic, neurological, and speech - so whether someone needs to recover after surgery or deal with complex longer-term conditions, things are set up with that in mind. Around the clock, skilled nurses and medical staff give personalized care, and there's help for wound care, pain management, pressure ulcer prevention, catheter care, and infection control, and you'll even find specialty care for things like post-surgical wounds and trauma.

One of the main features is the on-site Dialysis Center, run in partnership with Florida Kidney Physicians, so folks don't have to go off-site for treatment, and experienced nephrologists, registered nurses, and certified dialysis techs see to it that someone's getting safe, up-to-date, and custom treatment across all sorts of kidney concerns - chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, hypertension, potassium disorders, glomerulonephritis, blood or protein in urine - and they even have a Kidney Transplant Program and a Glomerulonephritis Center of Excellence. The facility offers telehealth, clinical research, and dedicated support for African-Americans with CKD, and the clinical team includes kidney and hypertension specialists plus a wound nurse, dietitians, rehab specialists, an MDS Coordinator, and a Director of Nursing, all making sure the plan fits the resident's needs and gets updated as needed.

There's also a wide range of supportive services, from 24/7 clinical nursing, medication management, and pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology services, to social work support with counseling, support groups, and help connecting with outside resources, and the staff includes unit managers, activities directors, and a Long-Term Care Administrator who take a team approach. The activities side is lively, too, with casino games like blackjack and poker, enriching social outings, and plenty of group events led by an Activities Director, plus spaces for meditation, worship, and a library, along with a bright communal and restaurant-style dining hall, a cozy 50's diner, and relaxing lounges.

Residents get daily housekeeping, beauty and barber services, laundry, and transportation, and if they want, pets are welcome, which adds a special comfort for many. Outside, there are three courtyards and two shaded patios for relaxing and visiting, and the facility tries to keep everything both accessible and pleasant for folks who like spending time outdoors. For special needs, there are services like percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube care, IV therapy, post-acute recovery, complex medical management, post-surgical care, and advanced therapies, and care plans always stay individualized and reviewed by the whole team.

Wilton Manors Health and Rehabilitation Center pays a lot of attention to cleanliness, regular staff training, and safety, making sure things are well organized and the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission shows they hold a high standard. The place uses a complex medical management approach but tries to keep life comfortable and familiar for residents, offering both short- and long-term skilled nursing, rapid recovery, and constant support so every resident can regain health, feel connected, and maintain independence as much as possible.
