    Spacious clean apartments outstanding community

I live here and I'm very pleased - spacious, clean apartments in a great location close to shops with an active, friendly community. Staff are attentive and kind, therapy/PT is on-site, and the amenities (gym, pool, theater, salon, dining venues and lots of activities) are outstanding. Move-in was smooth and there's always something to do - I'd recommend taking a tour.

    Summary of reviews

Celebration Village Acworth presents a mixed but distinct profile: it is a well-appointed, amenity-rich community where many families and residents praise the environment, activities, and individual staff members. The physical campus is frequently described as clean, modern, and hotel-like, with extensive shared spaces — theaters, fitness centers, salon/bar bistro areas, a heated pool, and multiple small dining venues — that support an active social life. Apartment sizes and layouts are commonly cited as a strength, particularly multi-room units with full kitchens and in-unit laundry options, and the community offers a range of on-site clinical services such as therapy and physician visits that support aging-in-place goals.

Care quality and staffing present a mixed picture. Numerous reviews commend compassionate, attentive caregivers, hospice support, and knowledgeable move-in teams; several families emphasize responsive servers, therapy staff, and activities personnel who know residents by name. Counterbalancing that, there are persistent operational concerns in clinical areas — particularly within the memory-care unit — including delayed attention to personal-care needs, fall- and transfer-safety issues, and variable staffing consistency. Call-button response times and timeliness of basic-care tasks are recurring themes. These issues have led some families to relocate loved ones; other families report high-quality memory-care experiences. Overall, the pattern suggests strong individual caregivers and programs but inconsistent execution across shifts and units.

Dining and activities are a clear strength in scope but variable in execution. The community offers multiple dining venues, a varied menu, meal-delivery-to-apartment options, and organized outings and social programming (games, music, crafts, walking clubs, excursions). Several reviewers noted improvements under new culinary leadership, while others described erratic meal quality, service lapses, food running out, and extra charges for additional items. Activities programming is broad and well attended, supporting social engagement and regular trips to local shops and cultural outings.

Facility operations and management elicit polarized feedback. Admissions and move-in staff frequently receive positive mention for being helpful and generous with time; yet other accounts describe misleading move-in promises, deposit and scheduling conflicts, and nonresponsive management during follow-up. Maintenance and safety follow-through are also inconsistent: while many areas are well maintained, reviewers described examples of unresolved hazards and malfunctioning entry systems. Pricing transparency and extra-fee practices were raised as concerns by multiple families, as were variable housekeeping standards. During periods of construction or transition, operational disruption and communication gaps were reported.

Communication and family access are another area of divergence. Some families describe open, family-focused teams that facilitate visits and virtual connections, while others report poor communication, limited phone or video access, and restricted-contact practices; there are isolated allegations of staff blocking family contact. Prospective residents and families should clarify visitation, remote-communication capabilities, and family‑notification protocols before committing.

Bottom line: Celebration Village Acworth offers an attractive campus with robust amenities, diverse activities, and many committed staff members who create a strong community feel. However, there are systematic operational and clinical risks to evaluate — especially around memory-care consistency, staffing reliability, responsiveness to care needs, management follow-through, and dining transparency. Prospective residents and families should tour multiple units (including locations relative to dining and common areas), ask for details about staffing ratios and memory-care protocols, confirm pricing and extra fees in writing, and seek recent references from current family members to assess current operational performance before deciding.
