    Caring staff and welcoming community

I moved my mother here and we're very pleased - the staff are caring and responsive, the community is close-knit and welcoming, and the bright, spacious apartments and gorgeous courtyard truly feel like home. The facility is clean, safe and well-managed, with great activities (poetry, exercise, outings), an art studio, gardening beds and on-site home care when needed. Warm welcomes, prompt management and friendly residents exceeded our expectations - I recommend taking a thorough tour.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Saint Anne's Terrace is consistently described as an attractive, well-kept senior community with a strong home-like atmosphere. Reviewers emphasize bright, spacious apartments, renovated outdoor spaces (including a notably appealing courtyard), and grounds and gardens that contribute to a pleasant campus environment. The location is viewed as convenient for access to medical offices, restaurants, and shopping, and the presence of on-site storage and home-care services increases practical convenience for residents and families.

Care and staff Care and day-to-day support are frequently highlighted as a primary strength. Frontline staff are described as friendly, compassionate, and responsive; families and residents recount prompt attention to concerns and staff who "go the extra mile." Long staff tenure and a welcoming resident culture support a close-knit community dynamic. While frontline personnel and dining staff are regularly praised, reviewer comments indicate that administrative- and management-level engagement can be uneven — see management section below.

Dining and activities The community offers a varied program of activities that many reviewers find engaging and lively: poetry readings, exercise classes, outings, parties, art studio opportunities, and gardening beds are singled out. The kitchen and dining staff receive positive mentions for kindness and attentiveness, and activities appear designed to support social connection and ongoing engagement for residents.

Facilities and services Facilities are portrayed as well maintained and bright, with renovated common spaces and apartment interiors described as airy and comfortable. Amenities such as an art studio, gardening plots, on-site storage, and an on-site home-care company add to convenience and lifestyle options. Reviewers also noted effective infection-control practices during the COVID-19 period, contributing to perceptions of safety.

Management and notable patterns Most feedback about the community management is positive, with many families commenting on courteous directors and responsive handling of concerns. However, there are isolated but notable critiques around administrative communication and pastoral outreach: some families reported limited proactive family outreach from management, and a few mentioned inconsistent chaplain or pastoral engagement. These comments suggest variability in administrative follow-through and spiritual/pastoral support rather than a uniform condition across the community.

Recommendation for prospective families Prospective residents and their families will likely find Saint Anne's Terrace appealing for its environment, active programming, and person-centered frontline staff. During visits, it is advisable to ask specific questions about family-communication protocols, pastoral/chaplain services and how the community documents and follows up on family concerns. Verifying current management practices and outreach expectations will help clarify whether the administrative style aligns with a family's needs.

    About Saint Anne's Terrace

Saint Anne's Terrace sits on four quiet acres in Buckhead, Atlanta, and has been providing senior housing and services since 1987, and the community welcomes people of all faiths or none at all, being affiliated with Saint Anne's Episcopal Church but open-hearted to everyone, and you'll find a volunteer Board of Directors who take an active role in keeping things running smoothly so that residents can enjoy their lives without too much fuss, and the staff are qualified and caring, including a full-time activity director, front desk concierge, and even a chauffeur to help with getting around. Residents live in apartments with nine or ten foot ceilings, and the spaces can be tailored to what a person needs, and pets are welcome, but there's no smoking allowed inside, and apartments have well-equipped kitchens with white cabinets, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances, so folks can feel comfortable and at home. Security staff live on the grounds and are there for peace of mind, while community spaces include a large TV lounge, library, activity room with exercise equipment and piano, elegant dining room dressed up with white linen and columns, and outdoor areas have shaded patios, a gazebo by a pond, lush gardens, and walking paths that tie into the neighborhood sidewalks. Residents have access to computer and internet stations, indoor and outdoor gathering areas, a self-run library, meal service in the dining room, exercise classes, and even a beauty and barber shop and a small convenience store for little necessities. The community supports independent living, assisted living, memory care, nursing and rehab, respite and hospice care, and even adult day care, all under one roof, and there's aging-in-place help, 24-hour nursing, and resident parking, so people don't have to uproot often as their needs change. There are also devotional services, including worship on Sundays, as well as options for baptisms, weddings, funerals, and pastoral care, along with outreach programs, counseling, and activities both onsite and offsite, so those who live here can keep busy and connected. People who call Saint Anne's Terrace home find an active, small, and friendly environment, encouraged to pursue their own interests, and the community tries to help everyone keep their independence and dignity, offering a mission-driven atmosphere that emphasizes wholeness of life without feeling overwhelming.
