    Caring staff, homelike community, excellent

I couldn't be happier with this place. The staff are genuinely caring, courteous and highly communicative; management is efficient and the level of care—including attention to dietary needs and hot meals provided—is excellent. The facility is clean, bright and homelike, with varied activities (therapy, exercise, Bible study), lively events with professional decorations and dancing to 20s–50s music, and a strong sense of community. I even dream of sharing a room here—it's the perfect place to retire.

    About Agape Living

Agape Living sits in Augusta, Georgia, near Phinizy Road, and has served seniors for over 30 years, starting as Agape Personal Care Home and growing to offer adult day care, assisted living, independent living, memory care, and skilled nursing options. There are only 16 assisted living units, each set up to feel like a home with studio apartments, shared and private rooms, all with non-slip floors and emergency systems. Folks who move in get help where needed, like bathing, dressing, moving around, and medication reminders, along with special support for dementia, Alzheimer's, and incontinence care, and the staff never leaves the building empty-there's always someone on hand day or night, and custom care plans are made for every resident, with health assessments from a registered nurse. Meals get cooked by a Lead Cook certified in Safe Serve, with choices for special diets, and everyone eats together in the dining room unless someone would rather have their meal in a private setting, and if a person has a hard time with eating, the staff steps in to help.

The place has a game room, arts and crafts studio, education activities, movie nights, a wellness center with massage therapy, and a full library, along with housekeeping, laundry, and trash service. Folks can spend time in the garden and walk around landscaped paths or meet up in the private dining room or game room, and there's a beauty shop, on-site pharmacy, and Wi-Fi everywhere, so residents can stay connected or talk with family online. Veterans might notice this is a veteran-owned and operated adult day center where the staff-which includes people with decades of experience in nursing, activity coordination, maintenance, kitchen work, and technology-works together to keep things running smoothly, always focusing on respect and teamwork. People use scheduled transportation for errands or doctor appointments if needed, and there's parking for family and friends, plus extra help with moving in or moving around if someone has low mobility. The community runs special programs under the Community Care Service Program (CCSP), offers home and community services, supports hospice clients, and gives referrals. Residents who need rehab services or physical therapy get that right at the facility, while others might enjoy games, gardening, or quiet time on the patio.

Agape Living has a homelike, bright, and cheery atmosphere and welcomes both private pay clients and participants using the daily plan, and there's a free trial day to see how things go. Staff and residents are friendly, the setting's peaceful, and activities are planned to encourage friendship and learning. Every resident receives personal care, housework, companionship, and meals, and someone can always find support for health, daily tasks, and social connection. The place has recognition from A Place For Mom and the Best of Senior Living Award, steady leadership with over 35 years' nursing and administrative background, and a clear focus on dependable service in a safe, comforting environment. Tours are available for older adults or families to get a feel for the space, meet the staff, and visit with residents, giving a clear sense of what life at Agape Living is really like, since the whole idea here is to stay active, cared for, and at home in the later years.
