    Immaculate caring home; one theft

I placed my mom here and I'm very pleased - the house is immaculately clean, fresh-smelling and truly home-like, with caring owners (Florica and Jon) and attentive staff who bathe and hand-feed her. Her recurrent UTIs stopped and she's happy and comfortable, so I have real peace of mind. Note: there was one caregiver incident including theft from a caregiver's closet and social activities are limited to family outings, but overall I highly recommend this loving, safe setting.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Sunshine Residential Care is strongly positive around personal care, cleanliness, and the home-like atmosphere. Multiple reviewers emphasize attentive, loving, one-on-one care—examples include hand-feeding, regular bathing, and proactive hygiene practices that reportedly reduced the resident's recurring UTIs. Families repeatedly describe the environment as clean, fresh-smelling, immaculately maintained, peaceful, and comfortable. Specific praise is directed at the owners, Florica and Jon, who are described as warm, welcoming, caring, and friendly; this contributes to high family satisfaction and a sense of peace of mind that loved ones are safe and not neglected. Rooms are called beautiful and comfortable and the facility is contrasted favorably against larger, impersonal institutions, suggesting a clear strength in individualized attention and a residential, family-like setting.

Care quality and management emerge as major strengths. Reviewers highlight that staff provide high-quality, personalized care including medication administration and feeding assistance when necessary. The reduction in medical issues—specifically fewer constant UTIs for one resident—was explicitly attributed to excellent hygiene and attentive caregiving. Several comments indicate that families trust the management and feel reassured by the owners' hands-on approach; recommendations and expressions of peace of mind were common.

Facilities and cleanliness are consistently praised. The home is described as immaculately clean, fresh-smelling, and peaceful. Reviewers repeatedly note a pleasant, home-like environment rather than a clinical feel, and several cite the comfort and beauty of resident rooms. This maintained, domestic atmosphere is a core part of the facility's appeal and ties closely to the individualized attention residents reportedly receive.

The primary weaknesses and recurring concerns center on the limited social programming and a couple of security/staff incidents. Multiple reviewers observed that there are few group activities or organized outings—one comment explicitly said there are no group outings except with family—leading some residents and family members to feel the setting is insufficiently stimulating. The private-home model, while cozy and individualized, can magnify that effect and leave some people describing the environment as "nothing going on." This suggests Sunshine Residential Care may be best suited to residents who prioritize quiet, personal care over an active, socially engaging schedule or who have family available to arrange outings.

A separate but important set of comments relates to staff incidents and security. At least one review mentions a caregiver having left and an associated theft from a caregiver's closet. While the overall number of comments about such incidents is small compared with the positive feedback, this raises a notable concern about staff reliability and property security that prospective families should inquire about during a tour or interview. It would be reasonable to ask management about staff vetting, turnover, property security protocols, and how such incidents are handled and prevented.

In summary, Sunshine Residential Care's reviews paint a picture of a small, family-run facility that excels at personalized, compassionate care in a very clean, home-like setting. The owners and staff are repeatedly commended for warmth, attentiveness, and clinical hygiene that has produced measurable health benefits for residents. Trade-offs include limited organized social activities and at least one concerning staff/security incident; prospective families should weigh the value of individualized, quiet care against the need for more active social programming, and should ask about staff stability and security measures. For families seeking a peaceful, highly attentive, non-institutional environment where residents receive consistent personal care, Sunshine Residential Care receives strong recommendations. For those seeking a lively activity calendar or frequent group outings, the facility may feel too quiet or isolated without additional family involvement.
