    Effortless move, clean apartment, excellent

I couldn't be happier with Royal Oaks - Toni and the caring, professional staff made my move effortless and my one-level apartment is clean and comfortable. The food is excellent (three meals, dine in or in-room), housekeeping is reliable, and the grounds and walking paths are beautiful. Nurses on call, daily CNA checks and a medication program give me real peace of mind, and the busy activity calendar keeps me social and engaged. Convenient to medical services, welcoming community, highly recommended.

    About Royal Oaks

Royal Oaks is a senior living community in Dalton, Georgia, part of the Hamilton Health Care System, that offers a range of care, from independent living to assisted living and memory care, all in a friendly and welcoming setting where staff encourage everyone to visit and take a good look around the community to see things firsthand. The campus includes both one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as studios and single rooms, and the apartments have private patios, fully equipped kitchens with washers, dryers, dishwashers, and garbage disposals, and every unit has individually controlled heating and air, sprinkler systems, and emergency call systems, which can bring peace of mind to folks who like knowing there's help nearby if they need it. Royal Oaks provides free high-speed WiFi, a computer area, laundry for linens, weekly housekeeping, and an all-inclusive pricing structure, making daily life easier for residents who want to enjoy retirement without the hassle.

When it comes to health and care, the staff at Royal Oaks are fully trained, friendly, available 24 hours a day, and they stay up to date on immunizations, always ready to assist with daily activities like bathing, grooming, showering, toileting, transferring from bed to wheelchair, incontinence help for those who can manage it themselves, medication management, and diabetic care such as helping folks monitor their blood sugar, though they don't do insulin injections. The campus includes The Gardens, a Personal Care Home with 42 apartments, where residents get help with daily living in a homelike setting, while those who need more can access skilled nursing care, continuing care, or memory care services for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, and respite care for short-term stays. There is access to Bradley Whiteside Rehabilitation, Vitruvian Health, Whitfield Healthcare Foundation, Vein & Laser Center at Hamilton, Hamilton Physician Group, and Bradley Wellness Center, right across the street for memberships.

Meals are provided in community dining rooms, with restaurant-style service and space for guests to join at meal times or even spend the night, and apartments have kitchens for those who prefer cooking for themselves. Royal Oaks schedules regular transportation for residents to shopping, movies, church services, and other offsite trips, plus there's on-site resident and guest parking. Residents can enjoy outdoor spaces like walking areas, gardens, patios, and wooded grounds for strolls and fresh air. The community holds many social and educational events, so there's always something going on, from lectures and book discussions, computer classes, and English language lessons to fitness programs such as yoga, chair yoga, exercise classes, Wii Bowling, swimming in the pool, relaxing in the Jacuzzi, or walking trails around the property. There's a full calendar with game nights, bridge tournaments, live music, Sunday church service, hymn singing, arts and crafts, and a resident musical group, with activity spaces for everything from cultural programs and trips to historical sites to simply sitting in the living room with friends.

Royal Oaks puts a focus on letting residents keep active, socialize, and make friends, with amenities meant to feel like home, including a beauty salon and barber services, indoor common areas, outdoor activity spaces, and programs all aimed at supporting independence and dignity. Each resident can choose a flexible lifestyle option that fits their needs, whether they're healthy and looking for independent living, need a little help every day, or require more care. The staff works to make sure everyone has chances to join activities, make new friends, and enjoy comfort without worrying about home maintenance. There's standby non-ambulatory care, memory care support for those who need it, and apartments outfitted to help residents stay safe and independent as long as possible. Royal Oaks serves as a community where seniors can enjoy a familiar, southern-style sense of togetherness, with opportunities for continued learning, wellness, and socializing, all within a comfortable and safe environment that still allows everyone to live according to their own pace.
