    Clean renovated property caring staff

I live here and overall I'm happy - the property is clean, recently renovated, with a lovely pool, plenty of activities, roomy apartments with big windows, and genuinely caring staff who helped me settle in and make friends. It's conveniently located (park/library/shuttle), but note utilities aren't included, on-site laundry costs extra, meals are optional/pay, there's a long wait list, and some residents report rent hikes and occasional management/maintenance hiccups. For an active senior who can afford the price, this is a safe, welcoming place I'd recommend.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is broadly positive, with strong emphasis on social life, cleanliness, safety, and staff responsiveness. Many reviewers highlight Clairmont Crest as an active, well-maintained 55+ independent living community that offers a wide range of activities and amenities suited to socially engaged seniors. Frequent praise is directed at the staff—leasing consultants, managers and maintenance teams receive repeated recognition for being professional, friendly, attentive, and quick to handle repairs. Named staff members (for example Nancy, Javier, Ryan, Dana, and Brittany) are cited as reasons residents feel supported and comfortable, and multiple comments frame the community as warm and family-like.

Facilities and amenities are consistent strengths in the reviews. Renovated apartments, new appliances, roomy closets, accessible doorways and wheelchair-friendly units are repeatedly mentioned. The grounds and common areas are described as immaculately maintained and inviting, with particular appreciation for the outdoor pool area, gym/fitness spaces, chapel, courtyard, and pleasant views. On-site services such as physical therapy and a monthly medical provider, a beauty shop, private catering options, and shuttle/bus service for shopping and trips add convenience and help sustain an active lifestyle. Optional meal delivery (Mon–Fri) and purchasable dining services are available to some residents, with vegetarian options noted.

Social programming and community life are major draws. Reviews list a wide spectrum of activities—exercise classes, water aerobics, bingo, concerts, plays, tours, church services and frequent outings—making the community especially appealing to active seniors seeking regular social engagement. Many reviewers state that the community offers more activities than similar facilities, and proximity to Mason Park, a senior center, and local shops and libraries further enhances recreational options. Several reviewers note a vacation-like atmosphere with robust opportunities for making friends and staying involved.

Value and pricing receive mixed feedback. A portion of reviewers feel the community offers good value, particularly for an active resident who uses amenities and programming. Others describe rising rents, recent rent increases, or higher-than-expected pricing—some finding it expensive, especially for residents who are less active or who require fewer services. Utilities are often not included, and laundry may be pay-per-use, so total monthly costs can be higher than base rent. Prospective residents should verify current pricing, what utilities or services are included, and any recent or planned fee increases.

Concerns and negative patterns are present but less common and tend to be isolated or related to transitions. Several reviewers reported negative experiences tied to management changes—confusion about belongings, denied deposits, or an initial rocky move-in process. One or a few accounts mention pest problems and door-system malfunctions; these specific incidents contrast with the dominant narrative of strong maintenance but indicate the importance of confirming recent pest control and mechanical system status. Renovations, while valued for modernizing units, have also been reported to cause disruption for some seniors during construction phases. Additionally, there is limited assisted-care support at this independent living community—reviews note no help with medications—so this site is better suited to independent older adults rather than those needing higher levels of medical or daily personal care.

In summary, Clairmont Crest is consistently described as a clean, safe, activity-rich independent living community with highly praised staff and strong amenities, making it an excellent fit for active 55+ adults who want social programming, fitness options, and a well-maintained environment. Key positives are staff responsiveness, breadth of activities, and renovated, accessible accommodations. Key cautions are potential cost increases, variability during management transitions or renovation periods, and limited assisted-living services. Recommended steps for prospective residents: tour multiple unit types (renovated and non-renovated), confirm current rent, fees and utilities, ask about the timeline and scope of any ongoing renovations, inquire about pest-control history and door/security system repairs, clarify dining and medication support options, and check waitlist timing. These checks will help determine whether Clairmont Crest’s lively community and strong staff support align with an individual's care needs and budget.
