    Compassionate attentive dementia-aware personalized care

I'm very happy with my choice - the owner/director is responsive and even personally helped with my move, staff are loving, hardworking, and provide 24-hour, dementia-aware, personalized care. My private room in a beautifully maintained, peaceful country setting with large patios and wildlife views, plus tasty meals cooked from scratch, make daily life pleasant; residents are well-groomed, engaged, and stimulated by fun activities. Communication and scheduling are flexible and the staff go above and beyond, though there is a non-refundable down payment (fees can be negotiable). Overall a compassionate, attentive community - I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries for Golden Jubilee House is strongly positive, with repeated emphasis on personalized, compassionate care and a small, home-like environment. Multiple reviewers highlight direct, hands-on involvement from management — the director personally assisted with a move and even provided transportation in her personal car — which signals a high degree of individual attention and commitment. Staff behavior is repeatedly described as attentive and proactive (for example, waking early to ensure residents are cleaned and dressed), and reviewers characterize employees as caring, genuine, and passionate. Communication and responsiveness from staff and ownership are praised, with accounts of staff going “above and beyond.”

Care quality and supervision are clear strengths. Reviews specifically call out dementia understanding and 24-hour supervision, indicating the facility is equipped to support residents with cognitive decline and requires continuous oversight. Personalized attention and mental stimulation are frequently mentioned, and residents are described as well-groomed and happy. The facility’s smaller scale appears to be an asset: reviewers who previously disliked very large institutions appreciated Golden Jubilee House’s intimate setting, individualized schedules, and the ability to provide flexible, negotiated arrangements.

Facilities and environment receive consistent positive notes. The setting is described as beautifully maintained, peaceful, and country-like, with scenic views, spacious back patios, and large outside areas where residents can watch wildlife. Furnishings are noted as more than basic, and reviewers appreciate personal touches that contribute to a warm, home-style atmosphere rather than an institutional feel. Private bedrooms are mentioned, reinforcing the sense of dignity and privacy offered to residents.

Dining and activities are other standout themes. Meals are repeatedly described as cooked from scratch, tasty, and nutritious; reviewers call food “fantastic.” Activities are characterized as fun and outgoing, with local outings that help engage residents with the surrounding community. These elements contribute to reports of residents feeling happy and well-cared-for, and several reviewers explicitly state they would highly recommend the home.

Management and ownership are portrayed as involved and hardworking. The owner is responsive and approachable; fee flexibility and negotiable terms are reported by some reviewers. At the same time, the reviews reveal a recurring concern around fees. While one summary mentions a “low non-refundable fee,” several others cite a high non-refundable down payment or fees required to recoup costs, which generated money concerns for at least some families. This inconsistency around fee descriptions suggests potential variability in pricing, differing experiences among residents, or unclear communication about financial terms. Prospective residents should seek clear, written explanations of the non-refundable charges and any conditions under which fees might be recouped or refunded.

In summary, Golden Jubilee House is portrayed as a small, well-maintained, and compassionate residence that excels in personalized care, dementia support, homemade nutritious meals, meaningful activities, and a serene outdoor environment. Staff and management engagement is a major strength, producing high satisfaction and recommendations. The primary and recurring caveat is financial: reviewers report non-refundable fees and at least one instance of a substantial down payment, and descriptions of fee levels are inconsistent across summaries. Prospective residents and families would benefit from direct, detailed conversations about the facility’s fee structure, refund policies, and any negotiated options before committing.
