Oak View Waverly Hall sits in Waverly Hall, Georgia, and has a 70-plus-bed nursing home as part of its community, where you'll find helpful staff who watch over seniors around the clock, and they say everyone gets care supervised by a doctor. Folks there get help with daily things like eating, bathing, and dressing, and families can choose short breaks through respite care if they need it. Oak View Waverly Hall runs a range of therapy programs-physical, occupational, and speech therapy-plus a restorative program meant to help seniors regain physical and mental strength, and there's a focus on working through memory issues and boosting comprehension and problem-solving skills, which stands out for people facing Alzheimer's. The facility takes Medicare and Medicaid, is part of the nonprofit Clinical Services, and says they follow Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity laws. Residents can join in garden work, arts and crafts, and other activities, and those with special needs can get behavioral health support or hospice care if required. Oak View Waverly Hall provides dining services with advice from a dietician, which can help folks eat better, and the apartments come with kitchens and refrigerators for those who still like to cook for themselves. You'll also find transportation, housekeeping, hair and nail care, heated outdoor pool, and a lounge with a fireplace to make living more comfortable. Staff can store and give out medicines safely and create personalized care plans based on each resident's needs. Everything's run in a way that tries to create a safe, home-like space, with licensed nurses and other professionals who aim to treat residents with dignity and kindness. The goal at Oak View Waverly Hall is to give seniors a place to live where their health and comfort come first, and there are services for different languages, tools for families to connect online, and a strong effort made to respect everyone's privacy. Compassionate nurses, staff otherwise unprofessional
I had a mixed experience. The facility is clean and the nurses-especially Holly-were compassionate and incredibly helpful after my loved one's traumatic brain injury. Sadly, most other staff were unprofessional, rude, lacked empathy and proper training, leadership seemed clueless, and I worried about tenant safety; I was talked down to and even hung up on. They should shut down or hire an entirely new staff unless leadership and training change immediately.
