    Spotless, caring community; highly recommended

I placed my mom here and have been very pleased. The community is spotless, organized, and homey; staff are warm, compassionate, and truly go above and beyond. Meals are excellent, there are plenty of activities (movie nights, games, Bingo, crafts), private rooms are available, and management is welcoming-I'd recommend this private-pay community for excellent, caring long-term support.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviews portray Pomerelle Place as a clean, well-appointed private-pay senior living community with many strengths in hospitality, dining, and programming. Families and guests frequently describe a warm, home-like atmosphere driven by staff who are attentive, courteous, and willing to go beyond routine duties. The building and apartments are characterized as modern and well-maintained, with attractive common areas including a central courtyard and up-to-date décor.

Care and staff: Care quality is generally described positively, with many mentions of compassionate, respectful caregiving and on-site availability for assistance. Reviewers emphasize staff responsiveness, kindness, and a family-oriented approach; several accounts highlight strong one-on-one attention and successful respite stays. At the same time, there is a recurrent operational concern about periodic staffing shortages and turnover. Those staffing gaps have been associated with care delays, intermittent safety concerns during understaffed periods, and a sense that staffing consistency can vary. Ownership and leadership transitions — including references to a traveling executive director — have contributed to perceptions of temporary instability in management presence.

Dining and activities: Dining is a clear strength: menus are described as varied, well-prepared, and enjoyable, with praise for the chef and group meal experiences. Activity programming is robust and diverse, led by a dedicated activities director. Residents and families note exercise classes, game and movie nights, crafts, Bingo, and a predictable daily schedule that keeps residents engaged. These offerings support the community’s home-like and socially active environment.

Facilities and accessibility: The physical plant receives consistently positive comments for cleanliness, organization, and modern finishes. Private apartments are noted as comfortable and adequately sized. A few operational accessibility issues were mentioned, specifically doors between interior spaces and the courtyard that could benefit from ADA-oriented improvements. As a private-pay community with upscale finishes, Pomerelle Place is positioned at a higher price point than some alternatives in the area.

Management and notable patterns: Reviews indicate an active effort to maintain high standards under new ownership, but also reflect transitional growing pains: intermittent leadership presence, occasional lapses in follow-through or family communication, and staff turnover. There is one mention of a former employee expressing dissatisfaction; this appears isolated rather than a facility-wide pattern. Prospective residents and families should weigh the strong programmatic and cleanliness advantages against the premium cost and inquire specifically about current staffing levels, leadership availability, accessibility accommodations, and recent measures taken to stabilize operations.

Bottom line: Pomerelle Place is likely a good fit for families seeking an orderly, clean, activity-rich community with attentive dining and a home-like culture and who are willing to pay a premium for those qualities. Those most concerned with consistently high staffing levels, immediate senior-leadership presence, or lower-cost options should ask targeted questions during a tour and request up-to-date staffing and care plans before making a placement decision.

    About Pomerelle Place Senior Living

Pomerelle Place Senior Living sits in Burley, Idaho, nestled along the Snake River, and people know the area for its peaceful sights, including the City of Rocks nearby, and I tell you the grounds have landscaped gardens, a covered walkway, and flower boxes, with a patio that's got bright chairs and plenty of spots to sit outside and watch birds or just enjoy the air. Inside, the building stays single-story so folks don't worry about stairs, and hallways have plenty of room for walkers or wheelchairs, and there are spacious senior apartments with generous closet space, handicap-accessible bathrooms, and safety features like walk-in tubs and a 24-hour response system, and everything's built to help seniors stay independent but safe, no need to fuss over confusing layouts.

Pomerelle Place covers a range of senior care, so people can choose independent living, assisted living, memory care, companion care, or skilled nursing, and if someone just needs a break, there's respite care too, plus day care and even hospice services for when that time comes, which brings some peace of mind. The place has a whole range of apartments, condos, and townhomes designed for older adults who want company yet value privacy, and every apartment comes with modern amenities and setups that help people feel comfortable and give a sense of home. Folks see that the staff-who have a reputation for being caring and dedicated-are always available, and a full-time nurse helps with things like medication management or getting dressed if someone needs it, so there's no trouble getting the right support at the right time.

For those living with memory loss, the dedicated Ashley Manor Memory Care stands out, focusing on Alzheimer's and dementia care, and the Generations memory care and specialized programs offer a safe spot, keeping things as calm and familiar as possible. Some residents use medical alert systems-options like Bay Alarm Medical, Medical Guardian, or ADT Medical Alert-to stay extra safe. The place has many safety features, like home security, and even provides medication dispensers, so keeping up with daily pills isn't such a worry. Trained care staff help with daily activities, personal care, and even cooking or laundry, which is a relief to many.

The place runs the Vibrant Life® program-a fancy name for a calendar full of activities, from social gatherings and games to outings and exercise clubs-so people don't just sit around, they have something interesting to choose from most days, whether it's a fitness session or an educational talk or a crafts group. There's regular scheduled transportation to local shops, doctor appointments, or places to eat, so there's never a need to drive, and family can relax knowing seniors stay active and connected. Meals come fresh every day with the Elevate® dining program, which means chef-prepared, restaurant-style options including California recipes and traditional home-style meals, and if someone follows a kosher diet or needs a certain meal, the kitchen's happy to adjust. Everyone can gather in the dining room or use the private dining room for family visits, and there's always high-speed internet for those who like to video chat with relatives, plus a beauty and barber shop for all grooming needs.

Inside, folks like the cozy sitting areas, common lounges, activity centers, and outdoor seating, and there's always something going on, from devotional services to entertainment, and residents with spiritual needs can find support, too. The staff supports independence but steps in for daily tasks when needed, and personalized care plans keep things tailored for each person, so the encouragement to live at your own pace is backed up with real help. If regular caregivers get worn out, respite stays are available, and daily or weekly support can be arranged.

The place stands out for its commitment to quality care, as part of the larger Integral Senior Living family, and has received some locals' praise for friendly staff, engaging programs, and overall attention to the well-being of people, which is always nice to hear. This is a senior community focused on comfort, independence, and safety, set in a scenic and welcoming Idaho location, where people can feel like they belong while receiving support that lets them remain as active and independent as possible.
