    Clean, welcoming, professional, compassionate care

I used the facility for respite care and was impressed - clean, remodeled first floor, welcoming front desk, and a professional, compassionate team (special thanks to Nicole and Yolanda). Their wound care and rehab teams are knowledgeable and attentive, staff listen and involve families, and new management has clearly improved resident-centered care; I'd recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a highly mixed picture of care at this facility, with clear strengths in several clinical and hospitality areas alongside recurring operational weaknesses. Positive accounts emphasize skilled bedside care provided by CNAs, LPNs and RNs, a wound-care team with documented healing outcomes, and effective short-term rehabilitation and respite services. Several reviewers praised renovated common areas, a pleasant admissions experience, engaged activities and entertainment, and a professional, welcoming atmosphere in portions of the building — particularly the memory-care and skilled units.

Concurrently, reviews describe systemic patterns that raise quality and safety concerns. Staffing inconsistencies and frequent shortages are a dominant theme; families report delays in call-response, delayed assistance with personal hygiene and mobility, and an uneven availability of CNAs and licensed nurses. Related clinical issues include gaps in medication-management and pharmacy continuity, concerns about enteral feeding oversight, and pressure-injury risk-management process gaps. These operational weaknesses appear to contribute to inconsistent clinical outcomes across different units.

Facility operations and environment are another area of contrast. While the renovated first floor and tidy grounds are noted positively, multiple accounts cite sanitation and cleanliness issues in parts of the building, odor concerns in common areas, and pest-control concerns. Maintenance and housekeeping practices are described as inconsistent, and laundry/property handling has been flagged for missing or delayed returns. Dietary management is frequently criticized for poor food quality and inconsistent meal service, though some families described acceptable dining experiences in casual settings.

Staff conduct and communication present mixed impressions. Many reviewers highlight compassionate, respectful staff members and specific employees who made positive impacts. At the same time, there are repeated comments about variable professionalism, inattentiveness (for example, staff distraction and delayed responses), lapses in privacy protocols, and inconsistent infection-control practices. Security and property-control processes have been questioned, including concerns about missing personal items and building access. Several reviews also indicate gaps in leadership responsiveness, communication with families, and follow-through on complaints or incidents.

Taken together, the pattern is one of a facility with notable clinical strengths in targeted areas (wound care, rehab, and some skilled-unit performance) and an improving physical environment in parts of the building, but with persistent operational challenges. Prospective residents and families may wish to tour multiple units, ask specific questions about staffing ratios and shift coverage, review medication and wound-care protocols, inquire about housekeeping and pest-control schedules, and request information on incident-reporting processes and recent regulatory surveys. Families who prioritize skilled wound care and active rehabilitation may find appropriate services, while those concerned about consistent personal-care assistance, dining quality, and property/security controls should seek clear, documented assurances before placing a loved one.
