    Warm attentive staff, spotless facility

I toured and chose this community for my mom and have been very pleased - the staff are warm, attentive and know residents by name, the building is bright and spotless, and the restaurant-style meals are tasty and well presented. The active calendar, helpful communication, respite/temporary stay options and overall family-like feel give me real peace of mind and I'd recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Celebration Villa of Newburgh presents as a well-appointed, residential-style assisted living community with a broad set of amenities and an active social program. The physical plant and grounds receive consistent positive mention: reviewers describe a clean, attractive building with a pleasant courtyard, garden seating, and inviting communal areas. Apartment options include studios and one- to two-bedroom units with kitchenettes and standard conveniences; on-site features include a beauty salon/barber, therapy space, and in-hall laundry options. The community emphasizes a family-like atmosphere and small-to-midsize scale that many families said helped new residents settle quickly.

Care and staffing impressions are mixed. Many families praised individual caregivers and nursing staff as personable, attentive, and knowledgeable about resident preferences; staff members are frequently described as remembering names and dietary needs, and some reviewers cited helpful, thorough admission and placement assistance. At the same time, the facility shows recurring operational weaknesses: intermittent staffing shortages, variable staff training and conduct, and reported gaps in nursing coverage. These patterns translate into concerns about responsiveness at times and limitations in accommodating residents who require higher levels of clinical care or two-person transfers.

Dining and daily life are strengths for a substantial number of families. The site offers restaurant-style dining with three main meals, appealing menus and desserts, and activities tied to the dining room. Reviewers highlighted meaningful activities — bingo, games, exercise sessions, outings, and faith-based opportunities — that support social engagement. Memory-care users and some families noted the need for a broader activity mix and more variety in meal offerings (for example, additional fresh fruit and vegetable options), and there are intermittent reports of delayed meal delivery or occasional order mix-ups that affect meal consistency.

Management and administrative areas are mixed in reviewer experience. Several families described prompt admissions, clear tours, and helpful communication from staff; others experienced billing disputes, delayed refunds, and uneven management follow‑through. There are also isolated, serious comments alleging accountability and oversight problems; such allegations merit verification through direct inquiry with the provider and review of regulatory records. Financially, the community operates on a private-pay model with base pricing mentioned in summaries (one figure cited around $2,613.75); reviewers raised affordability concerns and noted limited or no Medicaid acceptance.

Overall, Celebration Villa of Newburgh offers a residential environment with attractive amenities, active programming, and many examples of compassionate, individualized caregiver attention. Prospective residents with moderate assisted‑living needs who value social engagement and a homelike setting are likely to find the community a good fit. Families considering placement should prioritize direct questions about current staffing ratios and clinical coverage, medication-administration procedures, memory-care programming specifics, meal-service reliability, and financial/billing policies. A focused tour that includes conversation with the nursing director and recent family references will help clarify whether the facility’s operational limitations align with a prospective resident’s care requirements.

    About Celebration Villa of Newburgh

Celebration Villa of Newburgh sits on 10 scenic acres at 5311 Rosebud Ln in Newburgh, Indiana, near the Ohio River, with a peaceful, suburban feel that many folks find comforting and familiar, and you'll recognize the place by its covered front porch with rocking chairs, white pillars, and neat landscaping that looks inviting and avoids any kind of hospital look, and once you step inside, the entryway feels homelike, with cozy fireplaces and soft colors, so you don't feel overwhelmed, and you'll notice hallways with clear signs, a visual layout with community maps for tours and visits, and common areas meant for quiet relaxation or get-togethers with others.

This facility offers studio, deluxe, and standard one-bedroom apartments, each with private bathrooms, large windows letting in lots of light, kitchenettes, spacious closets, individual heating and cooling systems, and neutral carpet or tasteful paint, so everyone can find a place that fits their needs, and you can have a cat or dog in your suite since Celebration Villa is pet-friendly, which brings a sense of home for many.

The place has a variety of care, like independent living, assisted living, memory care, respite care, and even skilled nursing if someone's needs change, so folks don't have to move away if they need more help, and while it's not called a nursing home, staff can help with dressing, bathing, medication management, and other daily tasks, with licensed nurses around 24/7 and a system in each suite to contact staff at any time in case of emergencies.

There's a dedicated memory care program called Along the Journey and another called Life Guidance®, both with fully trained staff available at all hours, secure outdoor areas with garden beds, a backyard, and calming verandas, so residents dealing with Alzheimer's or other memory conditions stay safe while enjoying outdoor spaces, and the apartments in the memory care area come with extra security and peaceful views, giving both comfort and peace of mind.

In the main building, you'll find a bright restaurant-style dining room serving chef-prepared meals three times a day, plus an Anytime Cafe with free snacks and drinks, and there's a library too, along with a residents lounge, elevators, Wi-Fi, cable TV, housekeeping, laundry, and regular maintenance to make daily life simpler, and a full-time life director plans activities, entertainment, and outings like restaurant visits, shopping trips, and games to keep everyone mentally and socially engaged.

The community has special spots to relax, like shady verandas, a lush lawn, a bright courtyard, wicker chairs on patios, and a secure memory garden, so folks can enjoy the outdoors when they want, and inside, rooms have soft beds with pretty pillows, wooden dressers, bedside tables, and plenty of room for personal touches, helping things feel warm and welcoming, and staff tend to know residents well, creating a family-like environment where people's preferences matter.
