    Friendly staff, clean home, recommended

I'm a current resident and very thankful for the caring, loving staff - the nurses and stellar CNAs are friendly, attentive, and even helped save my life. My room and the building are clean and homey, the food is good, and there are lots of activities (I enjoy bingo). Skilled therapists and supportive staff make this a very good option for therapy or long-term care; I'm happy here and would recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a highly polarized view of care at this facility. On one hand, numerous accounts praise direct-care staffโ€”particularly CNAsโ€”and the therapy teams. Positive comments highlight compassionate CNAs described as the backbone of care, skilled rehabilitation therapists, clean and comfortable resident rooms, a variety of activities (including bingo), and generally acceptable dining. Several reviewers credited staff with prompt life-saving interventions and described a home-like atmosphere and friendly personnel.

On the other hand, a set of serious operational concerns recurs across other reviews. These include inconsistent medication administration and oversight (examples cited include missed insulin doses and missed IV antibiotic administration), gaps in clinical monitoring for chronic conditions such as diabetes, and delays in attending to basic needs. Families also reported long response times to call bells and inconsistent assistance with toileting and feeding, indicating potential weaknesses in staffing levels and shift coverageโ€”particularly overnight.

Staff performance is described inconsistently: while CNAs and some nurses receive strong praise for compassionate care, other accounts raise concerns about individual staff conduct and communication tone. Night-shift supervision and overall staff responsiveness were specifically noted as problematic in several negative accounts. There are also allegations of medication diversion by staff and mentions of regulatory involvement, which point to higher-level oversight and accountability issues.

Dining and activities appear to be strengths in many accountsโ€”residents and families frequently mention enjoyable meals and an active events calendarโ€”however, reviewers also raised concerns about the absence of consistent diabetic meal plans and dietary oversight. Facilities descriptions are mixed: some reviewers report clean, well-kept rooms and a pleasant environment, while others describe sanitation and odor concerns in shared spaces and inappropriate smoking in some bathrooms.

Management and corporate oversight are recurring themes in negative feedback. Criticisms include perceived lack of managerial accountability, avoidance of responsibility by some leadership roles, and descriptions of corporate indifference; some reviewers indicated that concerns were escalated to regulatory authorities and legal representatives. Taken together, the pattern is of a facility with evident strengths in hands-on caregiving and therapy programs but with significant, facility-level operational weaknesses related to medication management, staffing consistency, infection-prevention and clinical-response processes, and leadership oversight.

For prospective residents and family decision-makers, the reviews suggest verifying current staffing ratios and shift coverage, asking about medication-safety protocols and diabetes-care plans, observing cleanliness in common areas, and discussing how the facility handles clinical incidents and regulatory concerns. These focused inquiries can help clarify whether the positive practices highlighted by satisfied families are consistently in place for incoming residents.
