    Compassionate effective clean family-like care

I placed my mother here and I'm very satisfied. The nurses, CNAs, therapists, kitchen and housekeeping staff are kind, long-tenured and truly devoted - therapy is effective, care is 24/7, and residents are treated with dignity. The building is clean, meals are well-prepared, and the courtyard/wooded view is lovely; ongoing renovations look great. I highly recommend this compassionate, responsive team that feels like family.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The facility shows clear strengths in clinical care and rehabilitation alongside operational weaknesses in the physical environment and some aspects of day‑to‑day housekeeping and visitor support. Many comments emphasize reliable, compassionate caregiving, effective therapy services, and an engaged support staff; conversely, concerns center on room conditions, sanitation-related issues in parts of the building, and inconsistent responsiveness from newer staff members.

Care and staff: Reviewers consistently praised the nursing, CNA, and therapy teams for hands-on care, compassion, and dedication. Several accounts specifically noted strong rehabilitation outcomes and an attentive rehabilitation nurse by name; others described 24/7 coverage and staff who go beyond basic duties to help residents participate in activities. Long-tenured employees and multidisciplinary coordination (nursing, dietary, housekeeping, therapy) were cited as contributors to continuity of care. At the same time, a pattern of inconsistent responsiveness and less helpful interactions from some newer or younger staff members was reported, indicating variability in visitor support and bedside communication that prospective families should evaluate during a visit.

Dining and activities: Dining receives generally positive remarks: meals are described as well prepared and the culinary team is credited with providing decent food. Activity support is noted as strong when staff assist residents to attend events and maintain engagement. Therapy services (physical, occupational, speech as applicable) are regarded as a strength and a primary reason families recommended the facility for short‑term rehabilitation.

Facilities and environment: The campus benefits from a pleasant courtyard, wooded views, and an attractive exterior location. Ongoing renovation work has improved walls and floors in visible areas, but the building presents an uneven condition overall. Reviewers raised operational concerns about outdated room finishes (concrete rooms mentioned), limited personal storage and privacy in shared rooms, and sanitation-related issues affecting resident areas. These points suggest that while public or renovated areas may look improved, some resident rooms and housekeeping practices may not be uniformly updated or maintained.

Management and notable patterns: Management appears to have strengths in maintaining a committed workforce and delivering clinical and rehabilitative services. However, the coexistence of praised teams and cited environmental/sanitation problems suggests gaps in quality-control processes and uneven implementation of standards across units—especially during phased renovations. Communication and visitor assistance also showed variability, which can affect family satisfaction.

Advice for prospective families: Visit in person to assess room types (private vs. shared) and storage/privacy options, ask for the renovation timeline and which units have been updated, inquire about incontinence-care protocols and sanitation quality checks, and observe staff interactions across shifts. Request recent therapy outcome data and speak with nursing leadership about staffing stability and training programs for newer staff members to better understand how the facility addresses the mixed strengths and operational concerns described above.
