    Warm attentive staff, homelike atmosphere

I'm very pleased with my stay - the staff are warm, helpful and attentive, care is excellent, meals and activities are enjoyable, and the home-like atmosphere (with weekly Mass) makes me feel at home and part of a family. I would recommend this facility.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviews present a mixed picture. Many comments highlight a warm, home-like environment with strong daily supports, while a subset of comments raises operational and leadership concerns. Prospective residents and families are therefore likely to encounter strong interpersonal strengths in direct-care staff but should also probe facility practices and policies before committing.

Care and staff: Nursing staff, aides, and several support personnel receive consistent praise for friendliness, attentiveness, and helpfulness. Physicians and clinical providers are described as accessible by some visitors. At the same time, comments indicate variability in care consistency and responsiveness; several accounts describe times when staff engagement or communication tone with residents is less satisfactory. There are also specific criticisms of social-work and case-management responsiveness, suggesting uneven performance in coordination, advocacy, and family communication.

Dining and facilities: Dining receives mostly positive comments, including praise for meal quality and pleasant dining experiences, though other comments describe meals as merely acceptable, indicating variability. Facility interiors and common spaces are frequently described as well-decorated and home-like, with seasonal decorations noted. A recurring operational issue involves bed comfort and sizing as well as the configuration of bed rails, which some reviewers found inadequate for their needs.

Activities and social engagement: Recreational programming and holiday events are strengths for many residents; weekly religious services and priest visits are valued components of community life. However, a number of reviewers described limited engagement for some residents, characterizing the environment as lonely or insufficiently stimulating for those individuals. This pattern suggests uneven outreach or activity accessibility across the resident population.

Management and policies: Concerns about management visibility and responsiveness appear in multiple accounts, including statements about administrative staff spending limited time interacting with residents. There are also comments raising issues with discharge and eviction practices and with clarity of communication around those policies. These are operational areas that prospective families should review carefully, including documentation of discharge policies and processes for appeals or advance planning.

Notable patterns and guidance: The dominant patterns are a clear strength in day-to-day frontline caregiving and community atmosphere, paired with variability in higher-level coordination, social-work engagement, and some facility comfort elements. Prospective residents and families should consider site-specific questions: staffing levels and supervision across shifts, social-work and case-management roles and availability, written discharge/eviction policies, activity schedules and participation supports, bed and equipment specifications, and sample menus. Visiting in person during an activity and speaking directly with nursing leadership and social work can help confirm whether the facility's strengths align with a prospective resident's needs.
