    Compassionate professional care, family atmosphere

I'm very grateful for the compassionate, professional team at Allstar - Danika soothed my worries when she visited my aunt and Josh and the crew consistently went above and beyond with rehab and daily care. Staff know residents by name, kept our family timely COVID-19 updates, and created a warm, family atmosphere that gave me real peace of mind; I would recommend this facility.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewers describe a facility with clear strengths in direct care and rehabilitation but with notable operational inconsistencies. Positive comments emphasize staff who know residents by name, express compassion, and form warm relationships with residents and families. Several accounts highlight an active therapy program and staff who push and motivate residents toward mobility goals; these therapy interactions and individual nursing contacts are cited as sources of reassurance and clinical progress.

At the same time, recurring operational concerns appear across reviews. Housekeeping and sanitation are uneven: while the building’s appearance and amenities receive praise, reviewers also cite cleanliness and odor-control issues in parts of the facility and the need for stronger housekeeping oversight. Safety and equipment-management in therapy and rehab areas were raised as a concern, with attention requested for tubing and other clinical equipment practices. Medication management is another area of variability, with at least one account indicating missed or delayed medication administration and others noting difficulties reaching nursing staff by phone.

Communication and administrative processes show a mixed picture. Some families report timely, compassionate updates (including communication during COVID-19), and several individual staff members received specific praise for calming family concerns. Conversely, other reviewers describe difficulty contacting staff, long hold times, receptionist/visitor-management shortcomings, and inconsistent responsiveness. Administrative issues were also cited, including challenges with insurance/Medicaid processing and disputed discharge or placement decisions, which point to gaps in the facility’s admissions and billing workflows.

Taken together, the pattern suggests that care quality at Camelot Rehabilitation at Magnolia Park can be quite strong when staffing and processes are functioning well — notably in nursing and rehabilitation — but that that experience is uneven across shifts or units. Prospective residents and families may benefit from targeted questions during a tour: ask about current housekeeping schedules and odor-control protocols, medication administration safeguards, safety checks in rehab areas, property-security measures, and who serves as the point of contact for clinical updates. The facility demonstrates clear strengths in personalized caregiving and therapy support, while improvement opportunities remain in operational consistency, cleanliness oversight, safety practices, and administrative reliability.
