    Warm staff, excellent rehab, recommended

I'm very pleased with my experience at Cedar Ridge. The staff are warm, helpful, and go above and beyond-nurses, CNAs and therapists provided attentive, professional care and excellent rehab. The facility is clean, bright, welcoming and spacious, with varied activities, responsive dining and easy visiting. Families are kept involved and I'm grateful for the caring, hardworking team-I would happily recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Reviews portray a facility with many operational strengths alongside notable variability in care consistency. Positive accounts emphasize compassionate frontline caregivers, an effective therapy/rehab program, a clean and welcoming physical environment, and a robust activities schedule. At the same time, a subset of reviews describes serious operational failures related to care continuity, supervision, and communication. This produces a polarized picture in which experiences range from highly satisfied family members to reports of significant care lapses. Care and clinical operations Strengths: Many families and residents describe attentive nurses, long-tenured CNAs, an involved physician and PA presence, and a therapy team that delivers individualized rehabilitation. Several reviewers highlighted end-of-life attention and skilled post-acute rehab outcomes. Weaknesses: Reviews indicate inconsistent completion of basic personal-care tasks (for example bathing and toileting assistance), missed meals or meal delivery delays, and instances of pressure injuries and falls. There are also recurring mentions of delayed clinical responses and delayed or inconsistent notification to families after incidents—summarized operationally as gaps in clinical-incident response and family communication. Staffing, management, and workplace culture Strengths: Many comments praise caring, hardworking staff and describe a family-like culture where staff know residents and relatives by name. Maintenance and housekeeping receive consistent positive feedback. Weaknesses: Staffing shortages, turnover, and scheduling instability are frequently cited and appear tied to service inconsistencies. Some reviewers described problematic managerial interactions, difficult admissions experiences, and post-acquisition staffing changes that affected morale; these suggest variability in leadership consistency and scheduling practices that can affect frontline care. Dining and dietary services Strengths: The facility provides customizable meal options (often two entrées and accommodation of preferences), an active social dining environment, and responsiveness to some dietary needs. Families note staff willingness to personalize meals when needed. Weaknesses: There are recurring comments about inconsistent food quality, issues with meal temperature and timing, and occasional missed meals. Operationally this maps to unreliable meal-service continuity and variable culinary execution despite clear effort at customization. Activities and social environment Strengths: The activity program is frequently praised—puzzles, reading materials, music, group activities, and outdoor/visitation events when permitted. Reviewers describe a warm, social atmosphere in communal spaces and an engaged activities staff. Weaknesses: Infection-control restrictions (notably during COVID) were described as rigid at times and limited residents’ ability to leave rooms or participate in house-wide programming during those periods. Facilities and neighborhood Strengths: The physical plant is described as bright, clean, and well-decorated with spacious rooms, a pod/house layout, and active maintenance. Front-desk staff are often called out as welcoming. Weaknesses: A few reviewers noted neighborhood concerns external to the building and urged families to consider location context. Operationally the facility appears well kept inside but may face site-specific external factors. Patterns and recommended due diligence The dominant pattern is one of strong, caring frontline staff and effective rehabilitation services coexisting with operational weaknesses tied to staffing levels, supervisory practices, and management consistency. Positive and negative reports are both frequent; that polarization suggests variability in day-to-day reliability rather than uniformly excellent or uniformly poor performance. Prospective residents and families should: confirm current staffing ratios and turnover rates, ask about incident reporting and family-notification protocols, observe mealtime routines and sample food, review infection-control and visitation policies, and verify how insurance/administrative transitions are handled. If possible, arrange multiple visits and speak directly with nursing leadership about contingency plans for staffing and clinical-incident follow-up.

    About Cedar Ridge Center

Cedar Ridge Center sits under Genesis Healthcare and holds an AHCA Silver Quality Award, offering 74 beds in a skilled nursing facility where residents get personalized care, and there's always skilled nursing care available around the clock, with registered nurses, an on-site Medical Director, and attending physicians, plus physician services and specialty staff who help manage medication, IV Therapy, TPN, heparin therapy, and pain. Folks can stay for short-term rehabilitation after a hospital visit, longer stays, or just for respite if their caregiver needs a break, and families often use the well-regarded respite programs for that; in fact, this place helps caregivers manage, too, if only for a short bit. Cedar Ridge Center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurances. The place offers home care, home health care, palliative care, hospice care, and Medicaid HCBS, so families needing different levels of care have options. There's also contract rehabilitation therapy with physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and rehab works for neurological issues, joint replacements, injuries, amputations, orthopedic concerns, or after a stroke. The staff handles bariatric care, wound and colostomy care, pain management, dementia care, dietary and nutrition services, podiatry care, pet therapy, and case management, with careful discharge planning so that each resident gets a treatment plan that fits their needs best, whether for post-acute rehab or something longer. Rooms come private or semi-private with individual climate control, and you can find activity rooms, a sunroom, and common areas with scenic views, a garden and courtyard, beautiful spots to sit, plus a beauty salon, barber service, country kitchen, dining room, café with always-available menu choices, and in-room dining. Cedar Ridge Center also helps people get to and from places with coordinated transportation, runs recreational, educational, cultural, religious, and social activities for everyone, and has staff who keep residents busy and involved, making it easier for folks to make friends and stay connected. They've got programs that focus on community engagement, convenience, well-being, and daily amenities like cable TV, lounge areas to visit with family or friends, and everything gets set up so life here feels both active and comfortable, even if you've got advanced medical needs.
