    About Alden Court Nursing Care

Alden Court Nursing Care is a 142-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility that's divided into three main units: the Huttleston Unit holds 41 beds for post-acute, short-term nursing and rehabilitation care, then the Whitfield and Cooke Units are for longer-term stays and serve as a comfortable home for elderly residents who need that kind of environment, and people come here for many reasons like recovery from surgeries, strokes, heart attacks, CHF, COPD, and other medical problems, or they stay long-term if living at home isn't possible anymore. A team of experienced nurses and therapists work every day and night to offer rehabilitation, medication management, physical, occupational and speech therapy, palliative and hospice care, and dementia and Alzheimer's care, and they make sure residents get individualized treatment from a group of professionals looking out for their health and dignity. There's a focus on creating a real home-like atmosphere, not something cold or clinical, and you see that in the bright open spaces, lots of windows, an elegant dining room, a media room with theater seating and flat screen TVs, a salon and nail spa, a nice private dining room, and even a courtyard with flowers and a fountain that you can reach from inside, plus activities like a therapeutic art program and a bell choir give folks something to look forward to. Family and friends are always welcome, and there's a strong sense of community here, with volunteer involvement and music performances, and an average staff tenure of about ten years, so the faces stay familiar. Alden Court pays close attention to quality, including falls prevention, careful use of medications, end of life and transitional care, and they run wellness programs like flu prevention and sepsis awareness, plus staff receive education and resources through Mass Senior Care. The facility accepts a wide mix of payment options, like private pay, Medicaid, Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tufts, Fallon, and Senior Whole Health, so most families can find a way. And for those coming in for an elective surgery, Alden Court lets patients pre-register for post-op care, tour the place beforehand, and meet the rehab team. Operated under the Gordon Healthcare Management Group and connected with Southcoast Long-Term Care Services, Inc., Alden Court works to respect residents' choices and dignity, giving folks options as they look at care, and with staff working together to make life a bit easier and more comfortable, there's always an eye on helping everyone feel like they belong and are treated with respect.
