About Eliot Center for Health and Rehabilitation

Eliot Center for Health and Rehabilitation, which is part of Kindred Healthcare and has been serving the community for over 20 years, cares for more than 120 residents in a nursing and rehabilitation facility that stays open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so help is always available. The care team includes directors of nursing, physical therapy, and social work, plus nurses, therapists, nutritionists, dietitians, and medical specialists, who all work together to create care plans based on each person's needs, goals, and abilities. Some residents get long-term or short-term skilled nursing care, while others use memory care services on a dedicated unit for people with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. The center's therapies include physical, occupational, and speech therapy, along with a special cardiopulmonary rehabilitation program and pain management. The building is kept clean and well-maintained, according to some reviews, and the rooms have safety and handicap features, kitchenettes, a sprinkler system, internet, and cable TV, with maintenance and housekeeping provided. There are amenities like a fitness center, a salon/barbershop, washers and dryers, a game room, and guest parking. Property staff help with bathing, toileting, walking, dressing, grooming, medication, and wound care, and there are personal care assistants and social workers involved in daily support. Other services cover podiatry, transportation, health and wellness programs, education programs, arts and crafts, and social activities. Meals, dining, laundry, and dry cleaning are included. The center takes long-term care insurance and has Medicare and Medicaid certified beds. Eliot Center for Health and Rehabilitation has a homelike, supportive atmosphere with respite and palliative care available when families need a break or extra support, and everyone works hard to help seniors recover, stay comfortable, and feel at home while living there.
