    Warm caring facility highly recommended

My mom settled in beautifully - the place feels warm, homey and impeccably clean with lovely walkways and outdoor seating. The staff and management are skilled, compassionate, and genuinely attentive; medical and hospice communication has been superb and the move-in was smooth. Meals are very good, balanced with healthy choices, and there are plenty of activities (crafts, movie nights, Bingo, shopping trips) that helped her make friends and sleep better. Minor issues: portions can be small, I'd like more fresh fruit/veg, and the location is a bit farther than we wanted. Overall I'm grateful and would highly recommend this excellent, caring facility.

    About The Brook of Roscommon

The Brook of Roscommon offers seniors different living choices, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, respite care, and adult day care, with services designed to help older adults manage daily life while staying comfortable and engaged, and the place itself feels peaceful and quiet, the kind of spot where people can relax and not get caught up in the rush of the outside world. The staff there have a reputation for being helpful, kind, and joyful, and they're around 24 hours a day to keep an eye on things, help out with medication, and give support for people who might have trouble getting around or remembering things due to dementia or mild cognitive issues. The facility includes apartments with spacious floor plans, wheelchair-accessible showers, kitchenettes or full kitchens, private bathrooms, safety bars, and emergency alert call systems, so people can feel a bit safer and more secure, and the rooms come fully furnished if that's needed.

Residents can use the high-speed Wi-Fi, cable TV, and have meals cooked by a professional chef, and if someone's got allergies or diabetes, they're able to get special meals made for them, with restaurant-style dining in a chandelier-lit room or private dining area for family visits or special occasions, and the meal plans do cost extra, but the food is well planned and meant to be nutritious. There are staff who speak English and can take care of daily things like dressing, bathing, and getting around, and nurses are on call all day and night, plus the facility has non-ambulatory care for folks who have trouble moving.

Daily life at The Brook of Roscommon has plenty to do, since there's a fitness room and exercise program, a library, an activity room, a game room, an arts and crafts space, a movie theater, and a beauty shop, and outdoors there are walking paths, gardens, places to sit, and common spaces for people to visit and enjoy the fresh air. There are scheduled activities every day, like music programs, crafts, movie nights, or shopping trips, and some activities are run by residents themselves, which helps people make friends and stay social. The community supports aging in place, so residents can stay through different stages of need, and it offers specialized memory care that's designed to slow confusion and prevent wandering for those with Alzheimer's or dementia.

There are devotional services and chances to take part in activities offsite, so people can get out and about sometimes, and transportation is available for errands, appointments, or outings, plus there's parking for those who drive, and visiting families can usually find a place to park, too. Cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and move-in help are provided as part of everyday life there, and safety is a focus, with a computerized medication system, 24-hour supervision, and an emergency call system. There's even a spa or wellness room for extra comfort, and the whole community is wheelchair and handicap accessible, with close pet accommodations and support for veterans.

The staff is known for being attentive and communicating clearly with both residents and families, and people have described rooms and living areas as clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely, with areas like the living room featuring a fireplace for people to gather. The Brook of Roscommon has earned awards for quality care, and families often leave good reviews about their experiences, especially when it comes to memory care, kindness, and the sense of community. The building's open all day, every day, but the office is open on weekdays during daytime hours, and it gives a safe place for seniors who want a calm place to live, some independence, and reliable care.
