    Attentive staff improved my mom

I'm very satisfied with how my mom is cared for-Prisca, Tamika, Rachel, Shontae and the nursing team are attentive, patient, and treat her like family. Meds are well managed, rooms and common areas are clean, meals/snacks are good, staff communicate promptly, and overall it's a very good facility that has improved my mom's quality of life; I recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews present a split picture of the facility: many families and residents praise the compassion and attentiveness of nursing staff and certified nursing assistants, as well as cleaning of rooms, prompt maintenance responses, and effective short-term rehabilitation services. Positive comments highlight well-scheduled medication administration, generous meal portions, engaging activities, and teams that build rapport with residents and families. The buildingโ€™s proximity to a hospital and a generally friendly resident community are also cited as practical advantages.

At the same time, multiple reviewers identify operational and safety concerns that recur across accounts. Staffing inconsistency and shortages are frequently linked to delayed responses to call buttons, limited bedside checks, and long wait times for assistance. Several comments point to sanitation and odor-control lapses in portions of the facility, along with specific pest-control concerns. Maintenance reliabilityโ€”most notably repeated elevator outages and service-equipment failuresโ€”creates accessibility and emergency-evacuation risks when stairs are not a viable alternative.

Clinical quality appears to be variable: while some families report compassionate, proactive care and positive rehabilitation outcomes, others describe significant lapses in wound and infection management, fall-prevention, and timely escalation to higher levels of care. There are reports that suggest inconsistencies in medication monitoring and concerns about how some clinical incidents were managed; a small number of reviewers raised serious allegations of resident injury and of financial misconduct, which warrant targeted follow-up with regulatory and legal records.

Dining and amenities show similar variability. Many reviews note adequate meals and portion sizes, but others describe inconsistent food quality and intermittent availability of snacks and vending items. Activity programming and resident social interactions are often seen as strengths, though staffing pressures can reduce the consistency of engagement and one-on-one attention.

Management responsiveness is described as uneven: several reviewers commend quick maintenance fixes and communicative nursing leadership, while others describe slow or absent action on critical issues such as elevator repairs, infection-control events, or family concerns. Given the range of experiences, prospective residents and family members should conduct an on-site tour, request recent inspection and staffing records, ask about elevator contingency and emergency evacuation plans, review infection-control procedures, inquire about staffing ratios and turnover, and seek documentation of policies for wound care, incident reporting, and financial safeguards. These steps will help clarify whether the facilityโ€™s strengths align with an individual residentโ€™s clinical and safety needs.
