    Loving, attentive small home care

I'm very grateful for the loving, attentive care my mother received in this small six-resident home - private room, excellent staff-to-resident ratio and around-the-clock, direct care from a caring team. She enjoyed home-cooked dining room meals, crafts, movie nights and outings for coffee, plants or visits to a horse ranch, plus warm birthday and holiday celebrations. Staff (Mandy especially) knew our family, were easy to reach, offered flexible, private visiting and a comforting Hospice Cottage in a true home-like, family atmosphere.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment: The reviews present a consistently positive and highly appreciative picture of Oasis Care Home. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize that the facility feels like a home rather than an institutional setting, and they attribute much of the positive experience to the small size of the community and the attentiveness of the staff. There are no negative aspects recorded in the provided summaries; instead the themes focus on individualized care, family atmosphere, and meaningful activities.

Care quality and staffing: Care quality is the dominant theme across reviews. Families describe the care as "direct, attentive," and "around-the-clock," and several comments highlight an excellent staff-to-patient ratio that enables personalized attention. Reviewers explicitly note that staff know residents and their families, which contributes to continuity and trust. The phrases "best care" and "care team is the best" appear in the summaries, indicating very high satisfaction. Staff are described as caring, loving, and easy to reach—qualities that support rapid communication and responsiveness to family needs.

Staff, communication, and management: Communication and accessibility are repeatedly praised: staff are "easy to reach" and visiting is "flexible," with privacy respected during visits. There is explicit gratitude toward individual staff members (notably Mandy), which suggests strong, personal relationships between families and caregivers. The family-like atmosphere and the small number of residents are tied to this personalized approach, with reviewers appreciating both the professional competence and the warm, familial demeanor of the team.

Facilities and environment: The facility's small scale (maximum of six residents) is highlighted as a key strength. This scale supports private rooms and creates a quieter, more intimate environment where meals are shared in a dining room and residents can experience a sense of household routine. Privacy during visits and the ability to have family present in a comfortable way are important benefits noted by reviewers. The presence of a Hospice Cottage indicates that the facility can provide end-of-life care in a homelike setting, which families explicitly mention as part of the home's offerings.

Dining and activities: Dining and social activities receive strong positive mentions. Meals are described as "home-cooked" and eaten together in a dining room, reinforcing the homelike, communal feel. Activities include craft projects and movie nights, while outings (to plants, coffee, lunch) and special trips (visits to a horse ranch) add variety and engagement. The facility also marks birthdays and holidays with celebrations, contributing to a sense of community and belonging.

Notable patterns and implications: The dominant pattern is consistent praise for individualized, compassionate care made possible by a very small resident population and dedicated staff. Reviewers emphasize tangible elements—private rooms, shared meals, activities, outings, and a hospice option—that together create a holistic, home-centered model of care. No concerns or negative trends are reported in these summaries. The content suggests that families value personal relationships with staff, accessibility of caregivers, and a stable, consistent care environment. If prospective families prioritize a homelike setting, close staff relationships, and individualized attention, these reviews indicate Oasis Care Home performs strongly in those areas.

    About Oasis Care Home

Oasis Care Home sits in Luverne, Minnesota, offering owner-operated care with a more intimate, home-like environment than some larger places, and the staff and owners stay involved in making sure each resident feels like family, which can go a long way in helping them adjust to changes and new routines. The place aims to take away some stress for both seniors and their families, providing long-term, non-acute care and skilled nursing services in a residential setting where private rooms feature shared Jack & Jill style bathrooms for easier access, so residents have their space but also some shared connections. Services here cover help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and transferring, and there's staff available around the clock, with a 24-hour supervision system, to support residents' safety and well-being, which is good for peace of mind. Medication management comes as part of the medically supervised services, keeping residents' needs and doctors' directions on track, and meals get cooked and served accommodating special diets like diabetic or allergy-friendly meals, so most folks find what they need to stay healthy. Each room comes furnished, with air conditioning and a telephone, and housekeeping and laundry services are standard, so folks don't have to worry about chores piling up.

The home has features like a dining room, walking paths, an outdoor garden and patio, movie nights, and a scheduled activity program, giving a little something for everyone who wants to keep active or just enjoy some fresh air outside when the weather permits, and transportation arrangements help residents get to medical and non-medical appointments. Staff work to know residents' preferences, and there's a focus on letting everyone keep as much independence as possible, supporting people so they feel involved in their own daily decisions. Board and care levels of service are on offer alongside assisted living and nursing care, so care can get tailored as needs change, and there's a direct line to communicate with the owners for any questions or concerns, which can help families feel included.

Oasis Care Home is licensed in Minnesota for comprehensive home care and has resources like state reports available for those who want to check up on quality, and there's always a focus on keeping the place safe, comfortable, and stress-free for the folks living there. Staff openings for caregivers and nurses, including CNAs, LPNs/LVNs, and RNs, mean the place keeps a dedicated care team, and the living environment stays steady. For those looking for a smaller home where comfort and personal connection matter, Oasis Care Home tries to balance physical and emotional care with individualized support, and families can take comfort in services built to ease the transition and let their loved one feel understood and respected every day.
