    Caring staff, healthy meals, social

I moved my mother into this smaller, one-level community and we've been very pleased. The staff are consistently kind and caring with the right amount of support, meals are healthy and varied, apartments are spacious with private patios, and the indoor/outdoor spaces (coffee bar, dining room, theater/chapel, exercise room, salon) are inviting. There are lots of activities, outings and real social life-Bingo, Pinochle and new friends-and an on-site geriatric doctor plus all-inclusive rent makes life easier; clean, relaxing setting with great views. I would recommend it to other families.

    Summary of reviews

Timbercreek Village Community receives frequent praise for its built environment and social amenities. The single-level layout, spacious apartments with private patios, scenic views, and well-kept common spaces create a home-like, smaller-community feel. Onsite amenities — including a coffee bar, dining room, theater/chapel, exercise room and salon — support resident routines and social interaction. Several reviewers highlighted an active calendar (Bingo, Pinochle, day outings) and an on-site geriatric physician who conducts regular house calls, which can be attractive for families seeking medical convenience and engagement opportunities.

Care and staff performance show mixed patterns. Many families described kind, compassionate staff and a supportive administrative presence; others reported inconsistent responsiveness, staff unfamiliarity with residents, and instances of inattentive conduct. There are also recurring indications of staffing shortages and operational instability that appear to affect day-to-day care consistency. Of particular note are concerns that the level of clinical service delivered did not always align with the level billed, creating potential gaps for residents who require higher-acuity support.

Dining and housekeeping are generally described positively: reviewers commonly note varied, healthy meal options and clean common areas. The facility’s smaller scale appears to contribute to the perception of a relaxed, home-like atmosphere and easier social integration for many residents.

Activities and transportation are strengths in concept but uneven in execution. The community offers a variety of outings and in-house programs, which many residents enjoy and use to form friendships. However, reviewers also described cancelled or unfulfilled trips and extended vehicle downtime; these incidents point to reliability issues in resident transportation and program follow-through.

Management and communication show a bifurcated picture. Some families praised a caring administrator and responsive staff; others experienced unreturned calls, moved residents with little notice, and described wishy-washy management behavior. These communication and administrative inconsistencies, combined with billing-care alignment concerns, have led some families to raise questions about regulatory compliance; prospective residents may wish to review licensing records and ask for documentation of care capabilities.

Overall, Timbercreek Village may be a good fit for prospective residents who prioritize a homelike environment, active social programming, and convenient on-site clinical access. Families considering placement should confirm, in writing, the specific level-of-care services included in any contract, ask about current staffing levels and contingency plans, verify transportation reliability, and review state licensing or inspection records to ensure the facility can consistently meet the resident’s clinical and service needs.

    About Timbercreek Village Community

Timbercreek Village Community offers assisted living, memory care, independent living, home care, and short-term respite care, so folks can find the help they need or just enjoy some independence if that's what they want, and you can see it's a family-owned and operated place where the owners really aim to make things feel homey through careful design, a friendly staff, and good services. The whole community is on one level, which makes getting around easier, and there are 39 private apartments, including efficiency, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom deluxe layouts, and each apartment comes with its own kitchenette, living room, bathroom with a walk-in shower, a bedroom with a walk-in closet, and a private patio, so there's a good bit of privacy and space for each person, and the building itself is only a couple of years old, which means everything feels pretty modern and fresh. The club room has a fireplace where people can gather, the exercise room, fitness center, and walking trails give everyone a way to keep active, and there's a coffee bar, dining room, a theater/chapel room, and several indoor and outdoor spaces for socializing or just relaxing, and they've got a hair and nail salon right inside for easy grooming. Residents can use the library, computers, and internet access, and there's always something going on like movie nights, game nights, or just sitting and talking in the shared spaces, so people aren't left alone unless they want to be, and weekly housekeeping and laundry services mean daily chores are taken care of. Meals are served, and medication or bathing help as well as rehab services are available if needed, and there's a 24-hour security system for safety and peace of mind, so folks can feel comfortable. Parking is available for residents who need it, and the community is private-pay and Medicaid approved, so there are some options for covering costs. Timbercreek Village Community tries to give everyone a warm, friendly place to call home, with design and activities meant to bring people together, but there's still plenty of privacy in the apartments, and the overall feeling is welcoming without being overwhelming.
