    Apartment-style clean accessible community nearby

I toured the place and liked the apartment-style room and well-kept common areas - clean hallways, cozy seating and small libraries. The dining room is tidy and sociable (meals billed separately); staff are on-site 24/7 with housekeeping, a PT room, agency-care allowed, a wheelchair shuttle, and it's very accessible near the hospital, Walmart and restaurants. I had a good visit and would consider it a solid option.

    Summary of reviews

Eagles Manor presents as a structured, apartment-style senior residence with a strong emphasis on routine and on-site services. The facility maintains 24/7 staff coverage, on-site physical therapy, housekeeping, and accessible transportation, which supports residents with ongoing care and mobility needs. Common areas are described as clean and well kept, and private units resemble apartment living—factors that may appeal to prospective residents seeking independence within a supported setting.

Dining is a noticeable operational focus at Eagles Manor. Review content indicates a sociable dining atmosphere in a clean dining room, but also highlights several policy-related features: assigned seating, mandatory meal-plan requirements, and separate meal charges. These elements create a predictable, structured dining experience but reduce flexibility for residents and families who prefer a la carte or more customizable meal options. There is some variation in dining-area finish and perceived meal quality compared with other parts of the property, suggesting inconsistencies across dining venues or meal offerings.

Activity and amenity offerings include seating areas, small libraries, outside tours, a pool, and occasional neighborhood events; the site’s proximity to a hospital, Walmart, and restaurants increases convenience for errands and medical access. The facility permits pets with management approval and accepts external (agency) caregivers, which can be attractive for families wanting to retain private care providers. However, permitting agency caregivers also introduces the potential for variability in day-to-day care continuity and communication unless tightly coordinated by facility management.

Operationally, Eagles Manor is governed by strict rules and access controls—locked doors and visitor restrictions are part of the security posture. While those measures can contribute to safety, reviewers also raised perceived security and access-control concerns, including mention of safety incidents; this points to a need for clear communication about security practices and incident-response protocols. Physical plant quality appears uneven: some areas and rooms are praised as five-star and well maintained, while others are described as lesser in finish and aesthetic. Prospective residents and families should confirm billing details (especially meal-plan structure and additional charges), clarify visitation and alcohol policies, and review procedures for coordination with outside caregivers and the facility’s security measures before committing.

    About Eagles Manor

Eagles Manor sits close to six hospitals, 19 doctors, and eight pharmacies, so medical help is always nearby, and folks living there can get plenty of healthcare when they need it, plus there's a special diabetic care program where staff monitor blood sugar and prepare the right food, and if someone needs more help, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care are available too, along with incontinence care and physical therapy, so residents have choices as their needs change. The place is made up of three buildings-Penkay Eagles Manor (PEM), Eagles Manor II (EM2), and Eagles Manor III (EM3)-all connected by common spaces, and they look like big apartment complexes but offer cleaner, more comfortable, and well-kept surroundings than most, including common areas, inside and out, where you'll see people socializing, using the small libraries, or just resting in cozy seating areas.

The apartments are studios or one-bedrooms, most with full kitchens in EM3, and all properties are for folks who are at least 62 years old or have a disability, with rents set on a sliding scale based on income and medical expenses, mostly between $415 and $976, and in EM2 there's project-based Section 8 help for lower income households, and tenant-based vouchers are welcome in PEM and encouraged across the community, and "over-income" apartments exist too for those who exceed normal limits, so a range of people can live here. Utilities are included except for phone, internet, and cable, and you do have to pay for meals, with a monthly charge around $180 to $199 per resident, delivering daily made-to-order meals right to each door in PEM and EM2, while EM3 has optional meal plans but includes full kitchens with dishwashers, and there are washer/dryer hookups, or you can lease a set for $20 a month if you like, as long as appliances are under five years old and meet Energy Star standards, which is handy.

Dining takes place in a clean, sociable room that never smells bad, and there are plenty of places to socialize like indoor common areas, a library, a computer room, and different seating spots, plus six cafes either on site or right nearby, so most people find somewhere to chat. If something fun is in order, there's a theater for shows, scheduled social events, activities like yoga and stretching, and trips to parks outside, and the community sits close to 40 restaurants with all sorts of food, ten places of worship for spiritual needs, and several parks for fresh air. People with pets can bring small animals-dogs or cats under 25 pounds with a $300 deposit or birds for $50-spreading the deposit out over time, and it comes back when you move out.

Transportation's covered pretty well, with a wheelchair-accessible bus available, general rides for outings and appointments, and four additional options close by, and outdoor tours or activities are set up for folks even if they use a wheelchair. Housekeepers take care of cleaning, there's laundry service, and there's a 24-hour emergency call system plus help always on hand, which means people stay safe and comfortable. Wellness and fitness programs bring people together, off-site devotional services are regular, and you'll find scheduled events to keep things lively and help residents feel connected.

Applications need age or disability proof, background and landlord checks, and paperwork like social security cards and IDs, and the screening process usually takes one to four weeks. Eagles Manor is known for being well-managed, clean, and friendly, with a culture of kindness among staff and residents alike, and with its location near care, restaurants, worship, and outdoor spaces, it's a practical choice for seniors who want independence, support, and a welcoming community without having to worry about extra costs or fuss.
