    About Vineyard Henderson Memory Care

Vineyard Henderson Memory Care provides specialized housing and care for seniors with memory-related conditions like Alzheimer's or dementia, and the caregivers here pay a lot of attention to residents' changing needs, so you'll find all sorts of health services such as medication management, 24/7 nursing staff, and onsite physical, occupational, and speech therapy, which means seniors can get a lot of help right where they live, and the building itself is two stories, designed to keep people safe with a secure layout and staff around at all hours. Staff and Personal Care Attendants must pass background checks and fingerprinting, plus they get training for memory care, and there's a 1-to-6 staff-to-resident ratio, so help's available quickly, whether that's with medication, dressing, bathing, ambulation, grooming, or getting to appointments using the community's free transportation. Rooms come in several sizes: 294, 350, or 481 square feet, in studio, deluxe corner studio, or two-bedroom formats, each with their own A/C, heat, and built-in storage, and the community has both neighbor and private suites so people can choose what fits their comfort best, allowing pets too in case that makes things feel more like home. There's a $2,500 community fee, and respite stays for 30 days are available at a set rate of $7,350, with no buy-in or long-term lease required, and they're set up for aging-in-place if residents don't need advanced medical devices. Residents get three chef-cooked meals each day with snacks in between, and those meals are made to be healthy, with dietary accommodations and even globally inspired menus, and there's always an alternative if someone can't or won't eat the main dish. Housekeeping and laundry happen weekly, and you'll find other handy things like a beauty salon, parking, Wi-Fi, and help with transportation to doctor's visits. Activities happen every day-exercise, brain games, outings, pet therapy, aromatherapy, book clubs, music therapy, movies, socials, art and cooking classes, and worship services-so boredom doesn't set in, and there's always someone organizing things, making sure folks get reminders for meals and events. The community is set up to reduce confusion and prevent wandering, and the environment stays friendly, safe, and organized, with private spaces for family celebrations and big common areas like the activities room, bakery, interactive kitchen, art studio, and even a grand entry with a lounge and courtyard view. The staff here sticks to three big ideas: Care, Connection, and Community, making sure every resident gets a care plan tailored to their own needs, history, and preferences. Vaccinations for flu and COVID are available onsite through an outside pharmacy. The goal is to help residents stay as independent and comfortable as possible, with support available for high-acuity needs, two-person transfers, and non-ambulatory or incontinence care. There's a calendar with enrichment, outings, entertainment, and regular updates and support for families, all aiming to keep residents mentally and physically active in a safe, familiar environment.
